just back from a great stay and ski trip in this excellence hotel. Staffing are very helpful and courteous and go out of their way to make you fell at home. The service is second to none including the dining, the food is amazing! The hotel have activities every day including ski tours with the local ski school which is great way to explore this amazing area. Being close to two major lifts and the centre of village with the main bus stop for the ski is great. this was my 3rd time to stay and the level has been the same every time, we will be back

I couldn't recommend this hotel more, it is fabulous... an easy walk to the gondola, which connects Ortisei, the main village of Val Gardena, to the Alpe di Siusi plateau. It's a small two person chair lift or a short blue run down to the ski schools. The hotel is beautiful, modern and stylish on the foyer and outside pool/jacuzzi and restaurant and a little more traditional in the spa and guess rooms. We were right in the centre directly by the bus stop for further afield exploring. The town is small but beautiful with a funicular that takes you up the opposite mountain where you can hire a sledge for €10, id is needed and bring your ski helmet to hire one is €6, we used our ski pass to go up, so no extra charge... I loved it!...if you want a luxury experience, with the best food, service, and attention to their guests, this is a hotel that has all that and more. I have to really think of anything negative to say, and that would be I wish the spa facilities would open past 7...it's a bit of a shooing out on the dot...saying that the massage I had at only €70 for a full body 50min session was one of the best....just a 10 snooze to chill out after it would have made it perfect...thank-you to the staff and the owners, we had the best time.

Prime location, very quiet for being so centrally located. Reception and bar area is modern, warm and welcoming. The rooms, however, are due for renovation. Awful pillows, bed not very comfortable, bathroom probably +20 yrs old. The 4 star standard is rusty, at best. The hallways are less charming than a dorm or institution from the 80’s, with harsch lightning (very typical for Italy - don’t they sell LED with warm-white kelvin or dimmers there at all???). The restaurant is nice, but also suffer from too hard lightning. Bar and restaurant service was good, but someone in the management must seriously look after the staff hygiene. The smell of old sweat and stinky uniforms really can destroy the appetite, both to eat and return as a guest.

This hotel is a great base for a stay in western Dolomites region, within walking distance to chairlifts for Seceda & Alpe Di Siusi & funicular to Resciesa. Very comfortable rooms, ours had a separate toilet & bathroom, sitting area and balcony. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast many varied options . The wellness area is exceptional, heated pools, indoor and outdoor, the outdoor pool is a spa too and the indoor spa area is perfect for soothing tired muscles after a day of hiking.

Booked this place based on the reviews and couldn’t be happier. Excellent service. Small touches. Piping hot coffee. The dinners for guests are 5 course and at 30 euros per person for guests great value as these were our favourite meals in Italy. Bartender made me a special basil cocktail that was so fresh and delicious. Beautiful spa area to relax in the mountains. Would recommend to friends or family and hope to return.

Have ben wanting to stay at this hotel for quite sometime, so for my 60th birthday this year, we did just that. |Great location, right in centre of Ortisei, overlooking the square. Service and food was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful, a very well run hotel. |We had a superior room , corner side of the front of the building. Very clean , plenty of room, lots of storage space. Hotel lived up to expectations. |As I no longer ski, this is a good place for a non-skier, plenty to do, ride up the Funicular have lunch at the top. Gondola to Alpe de Suisi. Get the bus to Bolzano and Bressanone, from the square, well worth the trip. Also, into Selva. You can use the bus pass that the hotel give you for all this. Ortisei is also a lovely place to walk around, plenty to see. |My partner did ski, he loves this area, sadly it was a bit on the warm side, snow conditions were a bit iffy. But we had a great week.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It was simply great and wow again. First, the location is perfect, right in the center of town. Second, the food is awesome. Each meal was wonderful. Third, the staff is awesome. Bruno, Tony, Luke, Sarah, and two spa ladies. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. My friend who does not do winter sports really enjoyed all the spa amenities , the outdoor jacuzzi and the pool the hotel had. Fourth, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Fifth, the owner and his lovely wife were so helpful throughout our stay. We will be back next March again.

The rooms at Genziana are generally very fine and comfortable, refurbished to a modern standard and considerably spacious, whether it is a two room family suite, a standard double or even a single. The sizeable downstairs hall also provides plenty of seating space and a wireless internet coverage. Their wonderful restaurant offers a very broad selection of different dishes every dinner and an excellent wine list, containing many fine examples of both entry level and some very upscale wines from the owner's collection. The self-service salad bar provides a selection of 20-30 different starters, while the various meals from the several course main menu are prepared to a very high standard, often with a gourmet take. Every night there is plenty to choose from regardless of one's personal tastes. The owner family and all the staff are extremely approachable, providing for a splendid friendly atmosphere. The brilliant dining hall manager and his sense of humour and vocal abilities were especially memorable. Genziana is conveniently positioned right on the main street of central Ortisei in the shopping and café district. The main ski lift is just around the corner, only a couple of minutes walk away. Hotel services include a spa and wellness centre and a fairly substantial swimming pool for a mountain resort. Overall, Genziana is excellent in all respects. Would certainly recommend it for an enjoyable ski vacation.
