Hotel Gilleleje Strand

We returned to the hotel after previously seeing a hotel guest eating a large flat fish on their plate. It was something we wanted to taste and we were not let down. Pan fried, the large fish composed of snow white flesh fried in butter served with new potatoes and parsley sauce. Very simple but filled with plenty of flavour. ||We ate outside in the sun with many other diners. The price was 285 kroner. Fair enough for the quality and experience. Recommended.

Lovely service, cozy interior, central location and great food. Hotel Gilleleje has it all! My boyfriend and I spent two great nights here and absolutely loved it.

This was a lovely traditional seaside hotel well located for touring the north Zealand coastline. The best features are the friendly staff, and the restaurant, bar and reception area where we ate on a couple evenings ( great food and plenty of it) and enjoyed morning breakfast. The rooms are a little bit more old-fashioned but nevertheless clean and sufficiently comfortable. All in all an excellent relaxed four nights stay in this lovely part of Denmark.

This hotel was simply charming in every way. The rooms were a delight. Breakfast was incredible! The staff was so helpful and even wanted to walk us to our room. Plus it was conveniently located to so many wonderful food and shopping opportunities. We definitely want to come stay again and again.

We had an awesome dinner at the restaurant yesterday. We ate fish, salsify and smashed potatoes. The fish was soft, crumbly and juicy inside. The salsify is crunchy but soft inside and the fish sauce is incredibly tasty. The temperature of the food was perfect. We had chocolate mousse for dessert, it was also very delicious with the small pieces of chocolate. Thank you to the Hotel and the staff for giving us a perfect birthday dinner.

This is a well run small hotel close to the boat harbour and the beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are large and included two armchairs. Queen sized bed was comfortable and extra pillows were available. Bathroom was a bit small but the shower was good. A common sitting room with a coffee machine was also very nice. Breakfast was a generous buffet style. If you are travelling by bicycle there is off street parking for bikes in the back garden. I would stay at this hotel again.

The food is always well-prepared and served in generous portions. They also offer vegetarian options, and the service is superb. The cozy atmosphere indoor as well as outdoor adds to the overall experience. End your dinner with a sunset view at Gilleleje beach, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel
