Hotel Gilleleje Strand

This was a lovely traditional seaside hotel well located for touring the north Zealand coastline. The best features are the friendly staff, and the restaurant, bar and reception area where we ate on a couple evenings ( great food and plenty of it) and enjoyed morning breakfast. The rooms are a little bit more old-fashioned but nevertheless clean and sufficiently comfortable. All in all an excellent relaxed four nights stay in this lovely part of Denmark.

This hotel was simply charming in every way. The rooms were a delight. Breakfast was incredible! The staff was so helpful and even wanted to walk us to our room. Plus it was conveniently located to so many wonderful food and shopping opportunities. We definitely want to come stay again and again.

We had an awesome dinner at the restaurant yesterday. We ate fish, salsify and smashed potatoes. The fish was soft, crumbly and juicy inside. The salsify is crunchy but soft inside and the fish sauce is incredibly tasty. The temperature of the food was perfect. We had chocolate mousse for dessert, it was also very delicious with the small pieces of chocolate. Thank you to the Hotel and the staff for giving us a perfect birthday dinner.

This is a well run small hotel close to the boat harbour and the beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are large and included two armchairs. Queen sized bed was comfortable and extra pillows were available. Bathroom was a bit small but the shower was good. A common sitting room with a coffee machine was also very nice. Breakfast was a generous buffet style. If you are travelling by bicycle there is off street parking for bikes in the back garden. I would stay at this hotel again.

The food is always well-prepared and served in generous portions. They also offer vegetarian options, and the service is superb. The cozy atmosphere indoor as well as outdoor adds to the overall experience. End your dinner with a sunset view at Gilleleje beach, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel

Ok hotel, but nothing more. A little bit old and work down. Plan breakfast , bread, butter,juice etc. -tasty, but some boring. The beds was OK, but the rooms smal. Free coffe and tea. The backyard was not cosy. Bought some coffe at the cafeteria, this was not good and almost cold.

Entering the hotel you smelled the rubbing alcohol which was a positive signal to us. The bathroom shined and the room was clean. Our french balcony directed to the sea and from here we enjoyed the sunset. The room was not big, but normal size for most hotel rooms in Denmark. Sleep quality was high and breakfast was served in a corona safe way as well. We stayed only one night, but it would have been longer, if we had decided to stay more days in Gilleleje.

not a relaxing, attention to covid needed||really annoying check in, we had to stand and wait whilst each guest was shown to their room ! u der covd having people gather in reception is not at all smart! the hotel was ok but not worth 1300 per nite, breakfast was fine but nothing special for that price would have rather a smooth check in, more full hand sanitisers placed properly plus considering covid , staff were not wearing gloves during breakfast service more attention to hygiene is needed room small for the price, not worth more than 750kr although we do not stay in hotels to watch tv , would have been nice to have had more 5han 3 chanels not very relaxing stay
