Great service, nice hotel with rooms kind of under the ground, especially for safety this location makes you feel a bit better with air raid on. You are in the heart of the city at very walkable distance, good breakfast served for 300-400 UAH and LAUNDRY with Tumble DRYING for 200 UAH per session. Customer service is very good, English is spoken and also Italian! Thanks to a manager at reception who’s very helpful, knowledgeable and good looking. I recommend!

We stayed 10 years ago and when revisiting Kiev chose the hotel again. It’s location is very good, being between the Main Street and St Andrews hill. Breakfast wasn’t great and we opted not to eat it for most of our stay. Initially we were due to stay 3 nights but in a change of plan stayed 6 nights. We booked the same style of room ( suite) on booking.com the night we realised we needed to stay longer and the morning of our original check out, the additional booking was known and we stayed in the same room. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi very good. Room was good, a separate seating area to bedroom. Jacuzzi bath with shower was quite high to get into, so might not be suitable fir everyone. Windows are covered by paper so you cannot see our, which is a bit odd. Safes are in reception not in the room. We had a slight problem checking out, only the visa debit card worked not the MasterCard or American Express credit cards. Would stay again if in Kiev

Great stay in this old glamour hotel. Lovely service and excellent breakfast! Front desk staff was always welcoming. Bar staff was nice with excellent wine. Heater definitely works and ac is provided as well. Bathrooms are tight as typical in Europe.

I stayed here 4 years ago and I loved it. But I just returned and it will be my last time. The price is pretty decent. The WiFi is super fast. That's the biggest plus traveling for business as you often have to depend on good WiFi. But I got a terrible sleep. The mattress was broken and the springs were crunchy. It was the dealbreaker because what's a hotel for? This being my 4th visit to Kiev my opinion is that the location of this hotel is pretty good but not GREAT, there are better (but possible more $) spots. If you want to come to Kiev and feel like you're in the heart of the action in a lively hotel, do not stay here. If you like feeling slightly secluded and don't mind a brief walk to the action, consider it. The hotel is tucked away nearly in the basement of an apartment building and is hard to find at first. Maybe a pro to some.

This hotel is small, moderate and cosy. Staff is very friendly and the welcome was very warm. It was a bit cold at first in my very clean room but staff helped me to put the heating on and then it was almost too hot. Very clean bathroom and enough warm water. The only minus was that windows were covered with white paper so it is not possible to see out, but at least some light came in. The price was very reasonable and location exellent. Metro station is near and it is also easy to walk to the city center. It is downhill walk. I would recommend this hotel to a traveller who likes places with local touch instead of chain hotels. Breakfast included a small selection of local food e.g. delicious pancakes and nice cup of tea.

The good points about staying at the hotel are the central location, the room styles, the friendly and English speaking staff but the bad points are the noise as you'd hear people in the morning when they're opening or closing their doors since the rooms require old style keys instead of new digital ones + the rooms are not dark enough as they lack draping and extra curtain layers to make the room dark and more importantly there is no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee, no drinking water provided complimentary and no safe in the room to store your valuable items. It's good for its central location but needs improvement in terms of noise control.

What an awful hotel! It advertises itself as a 4 star although I would hardly rate it a two! It’s situated on the first floor of an apartment building, very dated and dark. The hotel organised a taxi from the airport at a cost of £35. I returned to the airport at the end of my stay by Uber. The cost was £9! When I arrived at 9pm I was hoping to have a bite to eat in the restaurant. I was informed that the restaurant closed at 7pm. At 7pm, I would think that would be the time it opened. I popped into the bar for a drink and popped right out again - a dark, uninviting ‘bar’ that resembled a morgue. I went back to my room which was the temperature of a fridge - the receptionist informing me that the heating doesn’t get turned on until November. I was handed an electric heater. I turned on the television - no signal! I was beginning suspect I was in an episode of Fawlty Towers!||Would breakfast be any better? No! It was probably the worst breakfast that I have ever had. To cap it all, guests were only allowed one cup of coffee and you had to pay extra for each successive cup. The only slight positive in a nightmarish stay was that the receptionists were friendly and helpful.
