Hotel Gloria

The food was great with multiple breakfast buffet options and the lady at the front desk, Ken, was friendly and helpful.||However, after my first day there, I ran out of water in my room with now water coming out of the sink & shower and no water to flush the toilet. I reported this to the front desk and was assured that the issue had been resolved. However, the issue persisted into the second day and when I reported the issue to a young man named Dylon at the front desk, who informed me that water shortages are common in Kigali and there was nothing he could do except send up a bucket of warm water to my room for showering. How is this acceptable in a hotel in this day and age?! I escalated the issue to the Manager who apologized and changed my room to one that had running water. I shared my dissatisfaction about the lack of empathy and assistance that I received from Dylan with both him and the Manager, but Dylan remained adamant that there was nothing he could do and maintained a rude and arrogant attitude. The Manager was quick to correct him that water shortages were not a common occurrence in Kigali. Point to note is that I could now not access WiFi in the new room but I persevered because I was due to check out the next day.

Overall it's a Great Experience to stay at Hotel Gloria. The Employees are very polite and helpful, I will prefer again same hotel during my next visit.

Hidden gem in the heart of town. Old rooms but well maintained with wonderful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Easy access to the local market.

Do not hesitate to book it! Amazing deal! I was worried about the cleanliness and comfort at this price, but this place is absolutely amazing. The service is top notch so friendly and kind and attentive. The wifi is great, the showers and bathrooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and clean and it even has a mosquito net. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in years! So much fresh fruit and tea options and made to order omelettes. Oh the staff is so kind it makes the experience even better. It’s still 3 star quality fixtures but it’s so comfortable and affordable it didn’t bother us. It is right in the Center of town and safe to walk around. Yet the rooms are quiet.

Central location, perfect breakfast, rooms are bit small but comfy. Towels and bedsheets were not in good shape, no A/C but fan

This hotel is exceptional value for money and their breakfast was the best when compared to luxury hotels we stayed in.|We found are bedroom compact with the bathroom being surprisingly spacious so figure that but all the essentials were there and we had a balcony. The location was excellent for us, being in the centre and so walking distance to the shops, indoor malls, taxis and mopeds. |All the staff are great with a special mention for the chefs and Eric (waiter). We actually extended our stay there, looking forward to our next visit.

The place is clean, the staff are friendly. It exceeded our expectations. The exclusive restaurant is definitely a plus. They only serve guests and their visitors. Not open to the public. The breakfast buffet is really good with a lot to choose from.

Amazing hotel with a friendly management and the location is perfect. Good breakfast and the entire kitchen stuff are dedicated when it comes to the preparation of the meals. For the days that we left the hotel early in the morning like at 4:00 am the chef still woke up at that time to prepare and pack our breakfast. This was very thoughtful and we sincerely appreciated it. The rooms were well cleaned daily as well.
