If I could assign a rating of -0 to this hotel, I would do so. My best friend and I notified the clerk on Saturday morning, before we departed for the beach, that there were bed bugs in the room. We expected that the staff would either change the room or take other appropriate action. That evening, my friend arrived and attempted to lie down, only to get bitten. He then decided to sit in the sitting area. Security informed him that he could not do so and instructed him to stand up. Subsequently, the owner told my friend to get up, stating that the area was not designated for sleeping. My friend then informed her about the bed bugs, and I had previously mentioned the issue to the clerk before leaving for the beach. The owner responded by asking, "Why not ask for a different room?" claiming there were no bed bugs because the mattresses were new. The response from Gloriana was that "no rooms are available."
I recall us discussing the issue with the clerk in the morning. The main conclusion is that the service provided by the hotel is of poor quality, the rooms are grossly unclean and infested with bed bugs. Additionally, there were disturbing late-night visits at around midnight on two consecutive nights, with police-like door knocks. Although the doors were not open, the experience was frightening and unwelcoming, especially given the late hour. I would strongly advise against recommending this hotel to anyone.
