The hotel room was clean and tidy, a great position close to beach and restaurants not far from old town as well. We were there when the power cut happened. I cannot praise the staff enough for the way we were treated not only that day but everyday we were there. 100% would recommend and return again. Mike & Sue Miles.

I have put 5 stars as the things I was not happy with were personal choice. Very welcoming staff very clean hotel value for money. Would have preferred netting curtains on window as it directly overlooked the pool area and no balcony so felt a bit a bit like a fish bowl had to keep curtains shut when wanting to change or just had a shower. Also not the slimmest of people would have preferred a larger shower. Good breakfast and also a good lunch at 10 euro well worth it

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We had to go due to a medical issue and we paid all the services and we didn’t make use of any. We wanted to get a part of our money returned, they were late in contacting us. Furthermore, they didn’t find a solution to our problem. They are not serius and neither professional.

Staff very unhelpful at the front desk. Asked if they could book a taxi. The man behind the desk just looked at me and said I can give you a number. It would have taken the guy 2 secs to hone a taxi for us. Because I do not speak Spanish or was then very difficult to book one. Not courteous at all.

Just returned from five days at the Hotel Golden. The hotel is basic but spotless. The location is perfect - just on the outskirts of the Old Town. The food is adequate - it does the job nicely. You will always find something to eat. On our first night at dinner, we had to ask for butter. Every evening the waitress remembered and brought over butter - a nice touch. ||||Our room was on the back so we lacked a balcony - worth asking in advance if you want a balcony. However, we chose not to ask to move as our room was directly above reception so we got a brilliant Wifi signal - the Wifi was only meant to be in the public areas.||||There is no pool and the only outside space is in front of the hotel on the pavement. But for the price, it was a bargain. Would recommend.

I booked this hotel after being caught up in the low cost holidays collapse,it has to be said mainly on cost having lost out on one hotel already.|| We were greeted on arrival by a very pleasant and helpful receptionist who throughout our stay seemed to be ready to go the extra mile for his guests,as did all the staff. Our room was spotless when we arrived and was cleaned every day, including New Years day, which was one day I did not expect.|| I have read other reviews of this Hotel, which have stated that it is not for the English.I would not agree with that statement, this is an Hotel for all nationalities,as are all Hotels. If you want English,go to Blackpool,or failing that learn to speak a little of the language of the country you are in.|| We went here on a bed and breakfast basis, and found the breakfasts were of good quality with a very good choice, and were nicely surprised when we were invited to join the New Year celebration evening meal at no charge.|| All in all a really good break in a very pleasant Hotel || in a superb location that deserves a higher rating.

We booked this budget hotel the day before arrival. The deal offered was bed and breakfast, however, for an extra 25(ish) euros we had half board. The added bonus was that all guests seem to get a bottle of wine with dinner!|Our room was small, but tidy. Two bottles of water and some nuts were complimentary. The balcony is large with a table and two chairs.|Back to the room. Powerful shower, hairdryer and plenty of towels and toiletries. Flat screen TV, although we didn't find an English channel. Wardrobe adequate and a safe. Beware, the room front door doesn't close on its own you have to pull it.|There's a small bar with coffee at 1.3 e and Alhambra ale at 2e for small and 3 for large. Telepizza next door to the hotel if you fancy a change of food. There's also a 24 hour drink store about 200 yards up the hill (vending machine operated)
