This hotel is very basic. I don't believe anything in the rooms have been updated or maintained since it originally opened. For the price we paid during the World Cup we expected a better standard. The room safe did not work, on the last day the hot water was shut off and we were not able to have a proper shower before our flight and beware the fake 'we have wifi in rooms' garbage. At no point was there any less than 10 people siting in the lobby connecting to the wifi in the reception (the only area that it worked). ||||On a positive note the breakfast was good and you are 1 block away from the beach which has a good view from the roof top pool.

We have stayed at this hotel at least one a year for the last 5 years. In the past it has been very poor and in need of renvaiton. It has been slowly renovating rooms and we stayed in one of the new ones this year. The room was much nicer. Wifi still very poor-not even working for a couple of days. Breakfast continues to be good and fresh with local Bahia influence.

The hotel was a bit old and not very clean. The room was ok but needed some improvements. The breakfast was very good, Brazilian breakfast with fruits, breads, coffee and juices basically. The best think in the hotel was the staff, they were very helpful and kind. The neighbourhood was good, it was easy to find a bank, a restaurant, a drug store, a supermarket and cabs around.

It was a average one.. Rooms are OK OK type.. Maintenance required.. charging points are not working.. It's a tourist spot.. So the charging points Should be international multi plug type.. I faced a lot of problem for this.. Food option is limited.. Same for lunch n dinner.. Need attention specifically for tourists. Breakfast is good.. I stayed for 2 days.. No housekeeping came during that period. The main problem was communication.. The hotel staff donot understand n speak English..

We found this hotel through FIFA. It was rated 3 stars, so we expected a decent hotel. It is located in a shady neighborhood that even locals try to avoid. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom badly needed renovations. We could smell the stench of sewage in the bathroom all the time. The only good thing about this hotel was breakfast. The staff were courteous, but most could not speak English, which is normal in Brazil.

Ended up unexpectedly staying at this hotel for a week and a half last year (long story!). I had booked in for one night, but found the place convenient and comfortable, so that I decided to stay there for the rest of the time I had to remain in the city. My room was a good size, comfortably furnished, with aircon, satellite TV, and fridge in good working order. The bathroom (large shower but no bath) was modern, in good repair, and everything worked perfectly. The hotel was also spotlessly clean with very good cleaning, and prompt room service. The food and food service was good - lovely, varied breakfasts with quite a lot of hot and cold dishes to choose from, and adequate, freshly cooked evening meals (not exactly cordon bleu, but from what I remember, good, tasty, well cooked food for example, steaks, chicken, salads, etc. maybe other things, but I didnt eat there much & can't remember). Other facilities included an elevator up to a rooftop terrance, with sea and neigbourhood views, a few sunloungers, small pool, & tiny (slightly scruffy looking) bar that was unmanned at that time. It was not the height of luxury, but as there were builders working up there (it was the holiday low season) maybe it's changed some by now. Whatever, it was clean, and nice for a cooling dip after a day indoors or walking around the hot city. There was also free internet use in the business suite. The staff were very helpful & friendly and one or two of the reception staff could helpfully speak some English. So it was easy to arrange day trips, taxis, get information about buses, etc. The hotel location is good (although it's a 15-25 minute taxi ride into the old city centre, Pelhourino, as I recall. The staff can get you taxis, or if you ask, a bus, as the stop is almost outside the hotel. The hotel is located in what felt like a safe area one or two streets away from the beach, and is itself on a busy street and surrounded by banks, upmarket clothes shops, pharmacies, shopping malls, cinemas, cafes and eateries, and a hospital. On the down side, the hotel is a fairly bland building, on a busy road, and the view from my room was unlovely. But as I didnt intend to spend the days looking out of my window, it didn't matter. However, my room was quiet, the building seemed in good repair, was smartly decorated and well maintained inside. From what I could make out, the other guests seemed to predominantly include business people, and some tourists. It's a nice, safe, friendly, hotel, and I would stay there again.|

Just arrived from a one night stay at this terrible hotel. Everything is falling apart here. Air conditioning at the lobby didn't work. At one colleague´s room, the air exploded. I am not kidding: it exploded!! Parts of it were flying all over the place. Furniture is old and everything looks rusty. Bathroom wasn´t cleaned for a month at least. Found lipstick marks on my pillow and the other one smelled cheap perfume. The noise is so loud from the street, I couldn't sleep. The wind could enter through the windows like it didn't exist. Elevators old, dirty and smelling funny. The swim pool is nothing but a tank with water. Don't expect to be served promptly: had to wait for 20 minutes just for a bottle of water. Neighborhood is so dangerous that you cant find a taxi at night. Run from this hotel to save your life.

Was a cool place for me and I love it especially their breakfast is super! But if possible they should consistently do maintenance because of the sea breeze. In all the place is magnificent
