The most beautiful and upscale hotel we stayed at during our trip to Nice. The staff were exceptionally friendly, patiently answered all our questions, and responded to every request promptly. Guests also have access to the rooftop pool at the sister hotel next door, which offers lovely views of Nice and the sparkling Mediterranean. We especially appreciated the late checkout (until noon) and convenient luggage storage, which made our last day in Nice so much easier. I highly recommend this hotel — outstanding service, great amenities, and very reasonable rates compared to other four-star options in the area.

For such a fairly affordable price, the beauty and character of this hotel truly exceeded expectations. We just stayed at the Hotel Gounod Nice and although it was in a good location, a few things were extremely lacking. I don't think I've ever left anything aside from a 5-star review to any business on any platform, or just don't leave a review at all - but hope this helps other travelers when deciding on a hotel in Nice. - The bed was absolutely horrible. As we know, most hotel beds in Europe are two twin beds merged together. However, this bed was all springs, no padding. Basically 100 times worse than whatever you had in your dorm room as a college freshman. I would imagine a prison bed is more comfortable than what we had at the Gounod. - There are no bell hops / no one to help you with your bags. There's essentially one person who sits behind a desk and runs the whole place by themself. - Pretty sure the cleaner that is used to clean the rooms is just vinegar - and it reeks. They BARELY clean the room. Basically, just sloppily made the bed. - You do not receive fresh towels each day - you need to call and ask. - When asked for one extra pillow (to try to alleviate the bed situation), we were told there wasn't one extra pillow in the entire hotel... Overall, the photos online are slightly deceiving, making it look nicer than it is - it was a lackluster stay at best.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Nice! The service was excellent — friendly, professional, and always helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay (coffee, tea, wine on our honey moon )The location couldn’t have been better — central and convenient, with easy access to all the main attractions and the beach. The only downside was the mattress and pillows- unfortunately it wasn’t our type. A special mention goes to the lovely receptionist, Frida, who truly made our visit extra special. She greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her dinner recommendation for our last evening was absolutely spot on — a perfect end to our trip!

Room: Large and quite room with classic but also a bit modern French vibe. Only down side is there is NO shower. The bath tab is nice but npt very convenient if you want to stand up and shower. Water will go everywhere as there is not shower curtain. Location: 10 min walk to Nice Train station, close to bus stop that takes you to old town nice in about 10 min ride. Breakfast: Very limited options for a 4-star hotel. 22 euro/person for only few egg options and limited selection of others. Do not recommend to have breakfast here, many better options around the town. Service: Reception speaks perfect English. Standard hotel service, nothing bad and nothing stands out.

The Gounod hotel exceeded all expectations! From the warm hospitality from Receptionist, Frida, to the stunning kitchen staff, Zine & Solomon to the views and cleanliness, every detail was thoughtfully curated. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort and elegance in a beautiful setting. Easy access to the beach, restaurants and the train station. The only thing I would change, is adding more mirrors to the room. Also having access to The Splendid spa/Hotel Right at the end of the road, we had access to their Gym, sauna, swimming pool and Jacuzzi 24/7 - Icing on the cake.

Charming historic building, art-deco style and the most comfortable rooms. Stunning bathrooms, green craftsman tiles, top Phytomer amenities, best shower ever, fluffy white towels. Fresh proposals for breakfast in a cozy ambient. It’s been a dream to stay here just a few minutes walk to the beach and main streets.

The hotel was excellent, we were very happy with our stay. We stayed in the Prestige Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Newly renovated space, the bathroom was very nice. The staff were great, Frida at the front desk was very helpful and professional. The location is in a nice quiet area and is in walking distance to the train station (10 mins), the beach (10 mins) and the old town (25 mins).
