The over all experience was average..and there’s definitely truth in ‘you get what you pay for!’. On arrival we had to pay €19 tax charge that we wasn’t aware of. Overal the hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the food was repetitive but always something new added each day. Main cakes were delicious! (The restaurant could invest in some fly zapper machines because they were sooo annoying!) There isn’t enough sun beds so you’d best be quick and saving them isn’t allowed (which was good so it’s fair to all). The entertainment through out the day was very spars!..especially as it rained 4 days of being there, id of thought some provisions would have been in place to keep guests entertained (esp for a 4* hotel 🤷‍♀️). Also the indoor pool was out of order which would have been great when the rain came!. My son/husband enjoyed the water park which is literally 5 mins from the main building. The town/beach is literally a 10 min walk which was great and there’s plenty of places to eat if you’re self catering. If shopping always haggle for prices as what they originally try and charge you is way over priced!!. Over all the hotel was ok for what we paid. The area is great for eating out. There is an arcades place for kids but not a very big place. KFC,maccies, Burger King and subway are there and they have an indoor shopping centre.

Reception staff tried to help as much as possible. We booked this hotel for the pool only, we arrived on 16th September to be told the pool is closed from the 15th September until June, which zen hotels should have stated on their website upon booking as we would of booked elsewhere. We added the dinner to be told we need to use the sister hotel across the way again should have been stated upon booking. We have nothing to do in this hotel from September to June and wouldn’t recommend booking if you have children.

Gran Garbi Mar, a place where I feel at home. A very attentive staff, a great room overlooking the sea and the city, comfortable sleeping and a buffet at Gran Garbi with many options. Worry-free, as a vacation should be. Always glad to come back to this hotel, knowing it won't dissapoint!

The all inclusive is not "all inclusive", they basically have a mini menu that they serve until 23h, nothing from bottles, all expressed Juice etc, water bottles are not included either, which is a disappointment because of the children as there are no minibar at the room. The location is 5 minutes from the beach which os great, and you have access to all pools from the chain.

Reception is friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but cleaned to a good standard daily. Food is OK but have to use sister hotel which isn't really an issue . Rooms are very noisy ofter with young French German and other young Europeans. Hotel has good WiFi. And is located close to amenities and beach

Pros: fantastic helpful friendly staff ranging from the reception staff to the animation staff to the lifeguards to the room cleaners and the table cleaners. Great location for everything Lloret de mar has to offer. Close to the nightlife and the beach. Good food choices, nice rooms, plenty of seating around water park. Great value for money. Cons: if your transfer is By coach, be aware you will be dropped on the main strip and have to find the hotel yourself. Not easy the first time. I went to the gran Garbi instead of the gran Garbi mar. Thankfully the gran Garbi staff were helpful. Quite difficult to get to with big suitcases and children. Very steep hills. Not suitable for everyone. Overall, we have loved our stay here and would recommend and would definitely return.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at the gran garbi mar. We arrived early evening after being dropped off by the coach on the main strip and using google maps to find the hotel as the coach driver wasn't very helpful, when we arrived the receptionist was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. The rooms were clean and the cleaner came in every day. if you want hot drinks n your room it's advised you take a travel kettle as there isn't one in the room if your like me and need that morning coffee. we used the garbi mar hotel which is a sister hotel for breakfast as we were advised it had more of a variety. The hotel is situated on a hilly area and we found it was easier to cut through the sister hotel to get to the shops and beach to avoid the steep hills as I was recovering from a broken knee. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. The water park is open from 10am-6pm daily. The hotel has free WiFi which was music to my 17 year olds ears. The Air conditioning was great, We slept well every night, the beds were comfy and there wasn't much noise from the hotel. It is situated in a quiet area but it isn't to far away from pubs or restaurants and the main strip. There is a supermarket close by so you can get any bits you need. The receptionist was very helpful and answered any questions we had and was really helpful with helping us with our airport transfer back.

Rooms very clean but outdated. Chippings on side cupboards and old looking wardrobes and drawers. You have to go to the sister hotel for meals which is a bit of a pain due to the steepness of the hills. Security are extremely rude. They stood over a customer and pointed at their own heads saying and I quote "use your brain" that was extremely rude and patronising to the poor women receiving this abuse. No lifeguards at the main big pool and only one at the sister hotel left to look over multiple pools which is not safe at all. Multiple families where complaining and where eager to get back home. Myself included. The bar staff at hotel gran garbi are so polite and welcoming. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the bar staff at gran garbi mar as the bar was closed. In 27 degree heat we was expected to go to the other hotel to get drinks which again is not practical if you have children or for anyone with disabilities. A fire broke out on the balcony of gran garbi and the staff was only aware of this as I notified them. No alarms sounded and none of the customers where asked to vacate the building. The only member of staff who was calming down the public was the poor lifeguard. Everyone else had scattered.
