Hotel Grand Central

This hotel is a solid, no-frills stay right in the heart of Orchard Road. The location is its biggest win. just steps away from shopping, food, and MRT stations, which makes getting around super easy. The room is clean and decently sized, though the interior feels pretty standard. It’s more functional than fancy, but it gets the job done if you just need a comfy place to rest after exploring the city. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in our room was broken, but when we requested a room change, the hotel staff immediately gave us another one.

I loved everything about this place especially the location and service. They made our room everyday and replenished the supplies. They provided our drinking water hot/cold through an in-room water dispenser and there is a refrigerator as well. Wifi is great. They provided per room and within the premises and television was huge. The room was spacious especially for its price point. It is not a modern place and the gym was very small but overall a wonderful place to stay in. Orchard and Somerset were very accessible and the bus stops and train stations were near. Will probably stay here every time we visit Sg.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Grand Central during our trip to Singapore. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Special thanks to Miss Jane at the reception, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. ☺️Her helpfulness and patience were truly appreciated. Miss Cherry and Max were also incredibly kind and always greeted us with genuine smiles, making us feel right at home.🥰 The breakfast section was another highlight of our stay. Mika and Raymond were absolutely fantastic 🤩 super friendly, cheerful, and always ready to help. They really brightened up our mornings with their warm hospitality. ♥️ The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-located, making it easy to explore the city. But what truly stood out was the team of amazing people who made our visit so special.👌👌 missing them already We highly recommend Hotel Grand Central to anyone visiting Singapore you won’t be disappointed! It was nice to stay at the Hotel Grand Central Singapore. The staff was really polite, and the bellboy was particularly helpful with our 3 huge suitcases. The room is spacious and tidy. Didn't expect to provide decent toiletries amenities such as a vanity kit, sanitary bag and sewing kit (saying this because some hotels doesn’t even include those items)It is an old hotel, so don't expect it to be completely rust-free. There's some rusting on the bathtub, but that's okay. It is a convenient location. It's just across from Orchard Gateway, around 313 Somerset. It's roughly 5-8 minutes away from Somerset MRT station. The amenities are decent. There is a small gym and a small rooftop swimming pool area. There are also other eateries in the surrounding neighbourhood. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. If you want to look into more of the Somerset area this hotel may be suitable for you. Hope this help for anyone who reads the feedback section 😊

Quite disappointed by how stingy the service felt. Basic amenities that are usually complimentary in other hotels were either not provided . Things like replace new towels, the receptionist told me is not allowed only can give the next day which i found quite unreasonable for a hotel. Its a basic request that most place accommodate without issues. While the room was clean and the location convenient, the overall experience lacked warmth and generosity. The wierd part is the receptionist was not wearing a name tag. It made the interaction feel unprofessional . Simple things like guest service and staff presentation really matter, and unfortunately, this hotel fell short. I hope management can improve on these areas to provide a better guest experience in the future.

We stayed at Hotel Grand Central Singapore for 2 nights and had a generally pleasant experience. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Orchard Road, with easy access to MRT stations, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options nearby. It’s a great base for exploring the city.The room was clean and functional, with all the basic amenities you'd expect, including a mini-fridge, safe, and complimentary state-of-the-art water dispenser (hot &cold). The 2 beds were comfortable and they're fitting for an average size room which is quite typical for Singapore hotels in this price range. Wi-Fi was stable and reasonably fast throughout my stay.Staff were courteous and check-in/check-out was smooth. There’s a rooftop pool and gym, which are nice additions, though we didn’t get to use them much. Overall, Hotel Grand Central offers good value for money if you're looking for a well-located, no-frills stay in Singapore.

The rooms are nice and spacious enough. They have a firm king size bed which we like. The only issue is that our room was in front of the elevator, so it can be really noisy when other guests are chatting while waiting for the elevator, especially when kids are shouting. ||Other good thing is there are so many food choices just outside our hotel.

Rooms are spacious, identical with the neighboring hotel. Dispenser in-room, bathroom is cutely-sized, amenities also available. No netflix, but have cable channels. No bellhop. There’s a kiosk below selling toiletries, snacks, charger — pricing def on the higher side. 7-11 just a 5min walk. No coin-laundry, but there’s one available outside the hotel within 5min walk.

This hotel was quite disappointing. Okay, the rooms were quite nice, and it was well cleaned, but I felt that the staff were pretty hopeless. Most places that I have been to in Singapore the staff have been very helpful and incredibly easy to communicate with - not so much here. In fact the only person in this entire hotel that show me any assistance was the guy at the door. For instance, there was not option for al-a-carte for breakfast, which meant I had to hunt around Singapore for some cereal for my brother. Not only that I had to jump through hoops just to get a bowl and a spoon for him to use. Oh, they also have a pool, but they don't provide you with any towels, which means that you have to use your own (but you certainly can't use theirs). For the price I paid for this place, I was sorely disappointed.

Also had a disappointing experience. Our room was small but ok. Bathroom sink was partially clogged. Listened to a noisy night club until 2 am as the windows don't shield you from city noise. The worst thing was the WiFi - they only give each room 50 Mb, which gets used up in a couple minutes if you send or post some pictures; then, they want S$13 more for each 50 Mb - very behind the times.
