Hotel Grand Central

Room is decently big compared to other hotels. Quite dated . Nothing to shout out but okay for a short stay. Location is good . Room1. Beddings - clean 2.lightings - good 3. Air conditioned - can be improved as my room is quite warm despite air-con is on ( a minus point - pls ensure u are given a proper working air-con room- water leaking from air con)4. Toilet - bath tub ( a big no no to the elderly , young toddlers or a plus size as the shower is designed in a very very narrow entrance gap with high steps ) 5. Room has own water dispenser- a plus point6. Toiletries - providedOverall- great Only problem is air condition and shower roomWill i come back to this hotel ? I will but not when i am travelling with young kids and elderly.

This old hotel has been renovated very well and has all of the facilities one wood expect of a four star hotel. The breakfast is excellent and I particularly like the machine that makes the pancakes. There is no room service nor is there a bar in the hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance to two metro stations.

Don’t judge the hotel by its exterior—the real surprise is inside the room. The rooms are well maintained, even though the hotel itself is older. My stay was comfortable and definitely worth the money compared to other hotels in the area. The price is much lower, yet the quality feels close to a 4‑star experience.It’s not a modern or stylish hotel, but the room amenities make it a pleasant stay. A standout feature is that each room has its own water dispenser (hot, cold, and room temperature), which adds real value. My only suggestion would be to lower the dispenser a bit—it’s placed quite high, and not everyone wants to lift their cup up so much when getting water. Overall, a good and practical choice.

We had a great stay here. Terrific location just off Orchard Rd. Staff were friendly and approachable. Bathrooms a little dated but were nothing to complain about. An added bonus in the room was the wall mounted urn - not having to deal with a comically small hotel kettle was a blessing. The rooftop pool was great as well. We found this hotel sat perfectly in between a sub par 3 star and overpriced 5 star hotel.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Grand Central in Singapore. The location is excellent — right in the heart of Orchard Road, making it easy to access shopping malls, restaurants, and public transport. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. The rooftop pool offered a nice view of the city and was great for relaxing after a day out.

Upon arrival the concierge staff and security looks disgruntled and not happy to work which is a major turnoff. The hotel looks dated however the housekeeping staff was pleasant. Lack of basic items example, tea spoons or even drinking glasses in the room. Overall, will not return as I prefer my previous stay with Holiday Inn which is just around the corner too.

The hotel location is excellent. Everything is walkable but if you chose not to most key attractions are only a couple of MRT stops away and there are 2 MRT stations less than 10 minute walk away. We checked in at 10am and as our rooms were not ready the friendly receptionist directed to the rooftop pool which was a great start to our day (towels provided). Room on 8th floor was very clean with extremely comfortable beds, excellent quality pillows and bedding. Clean bathroom with powerful shower. Fridge and tea / coffee facilities. Good air con. For a budget hotel in an excellent location I would highly recommend.

The location is just in the middle of all shopping in Singapore and close to all public trafic. |This hotel is quite boring with no common public places besides the very cold breakfast room. It feels like a transit hotel.|The room wifi is very poor and makes the TV - with very few English spreaking channels - freeze every ten minutes. The room and bathroom are clean with a fine aircondition. No windows to open and no cosyness at all. |If you are to stay in Singapore for more than three days, look elsewhere.

This hotel was quite disappointing. Okay, the rooms were quite nice, and it was well cleaned, but I felt that the staff were pretty hopeless. Most places that I have been to in Singapore the staff have been very helpful and incredibly easy to communicate with - not so much here. In fact the only person in this entire hotel that show me any assistance was the guy at the door. For instance, there was not option for al-a-carte for breakfast, which meant I had to hunt around Singapore for some cereal for my brother. Not only that I had to jump through hoops just to get a bowl and a spoon for him to use. Oh, they also have a pool, but they don't provide you with any towels, which means that you have to use your own (but you certainly can't use theirs). For the price I paid for this place, I was sorely disappointed.

Also had a disappointing experience. Our room was small but ok. Bathroom sink was partially clogged. Listened to a noisy night club until 2 am as the windows don't shield you from city noise. The worst thing was the WiFi - they only give each room 50 Mb, which gets used up in a couple minutes if you send or post some pictures; then, they want S$13 more for each 50 Mb - very behind the times.
