Hotel Grande Bretagne Nafplio

Certainly a nice looking hotel with magic looks and perfect location. However all this nice looking place results in a cold atmosphere with no soul. Service is far behind expectations as most of the staff does not understand the essence of customer service and satisfaction. Not a place where to have lunch or dinner. For breakfast, orange juice is not fresh, in an area all surrounded by orange trees.

My hotel room smelled like mold coming from the air vents. When I informed the hotel staff they made of lies about it bring perfume or pipe cleaner they sprayed around all the hotel despite my room being the only one that smelled terrible out of our whole tour group. The staff was hostile and dismissive to my safety concerns, and I had to spend most of the night in the bathroom because the smell made me feel sick and persistent despite all my efforts to get rid of it. I will never come back here as nobody cares about guest experience or safety.

This is positioned on the port front of the old town (great for many eateries). Much upgraded over the years. Check in and out was straightforward and politely efficient. Our room in the roofspace was exceedingly large. Very clean for our stay. Large comfortable bed. Amazingly good A/C machine and quiet. Very good WiFi coverage. Breakfast was excellent with a large choice with some hot dishes. |Our only minor concern was the level of room lighting with obviously power saving bulbs.|One note - there is no hotel car parking. There is free parking on the dock side of the road BUT it is very busy so you may have to circulate a bit.

We went to this nice hotel for dinner at the terrasse. We were greeted with greek hospitality at its best and we had sublime dinner and some very good wine. The atmophere was very relaxed evne though the terrasse is just bext to the harbour. We’ll come back next time we go to Nafplio.

We spent a night here during our recent trip to Greece. The hotel was centrally located right on the water in the heart of town. The rooms were on the smaller side but nicely appointed. Everything was clean and the service was very good. There was a nice bar inside the hotel. The included breakfast was fine but not exceptional.

We chose to drive 2 hours north from Athens to this famous seaside resort. The hotel is at a central position on the grand promenade.|It has many seafood restaurants on either side and free municipal parking is nearby.|Luxury yachts tie up and add a glitzy feel with their underwater lighting at night.|The hotel is really a cool trip into super old world charm and comfort. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Beds very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and staff.|Highly recommended.

Nice hotel in a very good location, we liked that it wasn't in the middle of the square, so it was quieter. Service was great, the restaurant/bar is very quaint and breakfast was good. Rooms are fine, bathrooms are smaller. You do need to park in the public parking and walk to the hotel and depending on time it could be tough to find parking. would stay here again.

This is a beautiful historic hotel with a view of the sea and situated right in town. It is an excellent location and walking distance to everything. We had one of the family/loft rooms on the top floor and it was very spacious for 2 adults & one 12 year old child. It had a big living area with a canopy bed and a sofa bed. This room did not have a view, only if you peek out the skylights but it was very clean and huge compared to the size of many other hotel rooms in Greece. Situated close walking distance to many restaurants & shops so super convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean. The buffet breakfast was good, especially the donuts. Only drawback is no parking so you need to park your car in one of the city lots down the street along the water. If it is busy it will be a long walk back to the hotel after dropping off your luggage. Nafplio is a beautiful town to visit and we will definitely stay at this hotel again if we go back there.
