Hotel Grão Pará

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, clean, good tasty breakfast with local dishes. But the staff and their service was one of the best Ive ever experienced. A++++!

This is a very budget hotel, just for a overnighter. Very very small roomspace and still the same like 15 years ago. Breakfast was somegood. Staff friendly enough, somewhat english. Like I said : budget hotel. Want a comfortabler stay, take the next to hotel.

I went to Belém for tourist with my wife. The room is spacious and clean. The only downside is the noise of the air conditioning, which is still that manual and boxy. The bathroom was pretty clean. The breakfast is very good. The surrounding area is very dangerous, especially at night. The staff are very helpful. Accespt credit cards. No swimming pool available.

I have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. The bed was uncomfortable and they did not even give me a top sheet, just a blanket that I dare not use, pillows and mattress were a joke. The shower had so much mold, I skipped showering, the room had hairballs in the floor.

Stayed for a business conference for two nights and the cons outweigh the pros by a fair amount. The good part is the central location, inexpensive rate (USD40/night), good-sized rooms and plentiful breakfast. With that, the limitations involve a very unstable internet connection (deal-breaker....), no shampoo provided, just soap bars, noisy air-conditioning and slow check-in process. While central in location with a cab station right in front, the street is filled with homeless people at night and not an attractive place to stroll in the evening. I believe for a little less you can get a better option in the city and would try to look for something different next time.

The staff at grao para is friendly, and the breakfast selection is small, but very tasty. The pillows and mattress could be more comfortable. Also the air-conditioning needs to be serviced. They are a bit loud. But for USD 30,- a night. You get what you pay for.

Poor services provided at this hotel and poor relations from the staff. The hotel was clean alright and location great, it is located in the heart of downtown, where you can walk to access the mall, shopping areas and restuarants, but very poor services overall. It appears at times that I was a bother to them.... not even a cup of tea I could get for my wife who was sick, the staff was unhelpful and inflexible, I would not go back to that hotel even if it was for free and neither would I recommend it to anyone.

The travel agency recommended this hotel, but is was less then what we expected. Rooms are outdated, not the cleanest place and breakfast is the same everyday. The best thing about this place is the view. I will not stay here again, i am traveling with a infant and clean and hygienic places is a must.
