Hotel Grão Vasco

Unfortunately very unfriendly staff. I do not recommend this place there is nicer and better hotel in the city.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The people at the reception were very nice and our room was clean and comfortable and had a view of the park. The hotel bar was really nice too, I had the best Irish Coffee! We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner but we had our breakfast there every morning, they had a very nice selection of items. The hotel is in a great location in the city and Viseu is also a very nice city.

This was a hotel used on our Trafalgar bus tour of Portugal ||The hotel has a nice lobby and lots of little seating areas.||Our room was a little tired. Could do with a bit of a refresh. The carpet going into the bathroom was lifting badly and was a trip hazard. The bed was comfortable, but it was hard to regulate the temperature. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. It would even have been nice to have these in the seating area on each floor.||Breakfast was ok. Nice touch having hot milk to go in your coffee.

Excellent location, tired and worn out. Needs a total renovation. Even the towels are threadbare.

Old hotel in middle of town, would rate it a 2 1/2 star hotel.

The lobby area looks very nice but the hotel grounds is under renovation and the dust and noise carry inside the hotel. The rooms need renovation. Our room on the 2nd floor was dark, the AC did not work and the bathroom weathered with little water pressure in the shower. |Buffet breakfast offered many selections and was ok.

Rooms are a bit dated and smell a bit old but employees are very cordial and breakfast is very good.|Very well located and quiet. |Rooms are ok and can be renovated shower is good but for sure carpet, mattress and pillows are old and need replacement.

This is THE place to stay if planning to visit Viseu, perfect location, super well cared garden, we can feel that the owners care for the place. The air conditioning in the rooms works perfectly, the swimming pool right on the center of the city a gift considering Viseu's extremely hot summers, the staff are really helpful and the price of the rooms is fair. Don't expect a 5 star hotel but come for the location and good energy of this place
