Charming hotel in a stunning traditional alpine town overlooking the valley of Cogne. Staff were amazing in a beautiful, rustic genuine hotel. Loved every minute.
TIP - don’t miss the turn off from the motorway for Cogne from Aosta. You have an extra 30km/30 min tunnel system to navigate before you can turn around again

Rooms are okay, food was sad and dreary and service was terrible (for dinner). We got served little food, deserts like panna cotta were liquid soup and hadn't set properly. And risotto was heated up in a microwave. The service was even worse, being watched or stared out of the dining room very inpatiently. Food was quick in 20 minutes we had 3 courses but felt the burning stare in the back of our necks to get out of the restaurant.

I stayed here for two nights and wish I could have stayed longer. This hotel and the town of Gimillan were exactly the quiet spot in nature that I needed. My room was clean and comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious. There are lots of hiking trails nearby. It's easy to get into Cogne but I loved being able to retreat to the more relaxed feel in Gimillan. Also, the staff at this hotel are very kind and friendly, especially Paolo and Lorenzo. This is a special place and I highly recommend staying here!

We had to book late so our hotel options were limited. It was a pretty mountain setting but sadly rarely gets much snow any more. Plenty of cobwebs and dirty corners. Hard bed with big hollows. We had to turn the mattress to get some improvement.|Shower and bathroom black with mould|No spare blankets|Thin walls so neighbours are noisy|No English spoken except by 1 breakfast staffer, but the staff were helpful and friendly.

Rooms extremely cleans, service is great too. But too expensive... clearly. Rooms and hotel have nothing exceptional. You can find cheaper hotel in nearby villages.||||But if all are fully booked, this one is a good option to stay a couple of nights, again not cheap but very clean and quite comfortable.
