Hotel Grenaa - Havlund

June 2024 our experience at 1.am midnight. Haunted & Paranormal activity place. Couple with child Was seen but didn't harm.

The room service is impeccable and the rooms are nice and tidy and the facilities are immaculate and overall a great hotel

I have travelled half of world and with honest opinion on this hotel, 1st time experienced this place is haunted & with bad experience of mid night "paranormal active place. Experienced at sharp 1 am at midnight. Soft hearted people should avoid this place.

We choosed this hotel for its location and we were not disappointed: we had only to cross the dune to reach the 7 km sand and kid friendly beach. We had a spacious 4 beds rooms for the family, including a kitchen. It was perfectly clean and clear. |The breakfast is rather basic but fine.|The personnel, although limited to few persons, is very helpful and pleasant. We booked a room in excess and they were very friendly to find a very acceptable cancelling agreement on the spot. It was highly appreciated. |Although very clean and well maintained, the hotel would deserve some investment.

Stayed here with family to go to Djurs Sommerland, and happened to choose the same weekend as Denmark's biggest beach party. There were people everywhere in Grenaa, and our room faced the road. We thought we would never sleep, but unbelievably enough, we had a very quiet and comfortable night.||||The hotel looked abandoned and run down, when we came driving towards it and stopped at the parking lot "behind" the hotel. But after finding the entrance, the reception was actually rather nice, and the lady working there was welcoming and helpful.||||The room was very basic, and the bathroom looked as if it was from the 1950s. But the beds were comfortable and the road outside was quiet. Breakfast was good. From the webpage I got the impression that the hotel was literally on the beach, but it was a short walk to get there. The beach was nice, however.

Small and intimate hotel with superfriendly staff. Situated next to a magnificent white sand beach. Got to try out the dinner they serve too, great Danish food made with fresh ingredients from the bottom.

We stayed only one night there but it was a pleasant experience. It is small but very clean and cozy.The best part was Louise. She is this lovely woman that , I suppose, manages this Hotel. Very friendly and cooperative. She was not there as we arrived but we handled things over the phone and we got a room for one night 100 euros for 2 people. It is kind of expensive but not unusual for Grenna, which by the way does not have many Airbnb's option. So the bottom line: totally recommended.

Spend one night at Havlund while diving in Kattegat Centret. Everything was fine, no luxury but clean. No soap in the dispenser, and only a tray with kettle and some instant coffee and some teabags in the room.
