"From the subtle lighting in the lobby to the seven-story central atrium featuring works by contemporary Russian artist Ekaterina Ganchukova, First Hotel Grims Grenka has a chic, edgy vibe that contrasts nicely with the neighborhood’s Old World surroundings. Themed after each of the four seasons, the accommodations are modern and minimalist in design, with large platform beds, Bang & Olufsen TVs, and single-button mood control lighting, as well as bathrooms with mirrored walls and waterfall showers; larger deluxe rooms have broad-cushioned couches and more than enough space to entertain for those here on business, and some rooms have smart beds that allow you to adjust the firmness to your preference.Outward-facing rooms offer lighted catwalks with views of the surrounding city, while inner-facing rooms have windows overlooking the glass-ceilinged atrium and lobby bar. Don’t miss the updated Nordic cuisine (think salmon pastrami and potato and truffle soup) at Madu restaurant, followed by drinks (during warmer months) at the open-air rooftop lounge."

Loved my stay here! Nice rooms, nice hotel breakfast, modern feel all around, great roof terrace with a bar. They have AC, which many hotels in Oslo don't, so if you travel to Oslo during hot summer days I definitely recommend looking for hotels with AC like this one! Only downside I noticed was walls are thin (although I didn't have any issues with noise at all.)

Great hotel with nice and quite rooms. Good breakfast and great atmosphere in the dining area. Good service and friendly staff. Coffee and tea in lobby, but lounge is closed because of pandemic times. Short distance to everything else, but if you are looking for a 24h parking you should try out Paléet Parking. Often hotels in Oslo don't have a parking lot, so one of the nearest and cheapest is Paléet (from floor 9 and up.)

Loved staying here and would definitely book here again. All of the girls on the desk were super sweet and the breakfast was incredible- self service with healthy options. The hotel is very nicely located- we walked everywhere and got the tram for further afield. The rooms were very nicely sized and modern although we could have done with a little more bright light.

Incredible hotel. In lack of a better definition; a little piece of the future in the middle of Oslo. Great location a few minutes walk from the city centre. The staff at the check in desk were helpful and efficient. Everything and more of what you would expect from a hotel room, and great use of space. The best part was the shower. Never seen anything like it. Considering that the water pressure was ... "gravitational", I have to admit that it was more than sufficient, and alot stronger than what I have at home. The breakfast was exquisite, and the chef and waiter were very welcoming and service minded. All in all great service from check in to check out.

Nice rooms and great design of the hotel. Excellent location and good value for money. We left one hour before breakfast and was promised a breakfast to-go, but it wasn't in the reception next morning. We were not even offered fruit. It should have been easy for the receptionist ro offer us something like that.

Had a great stay. The hotel is really well placed; within walking distance of all the main attractions and restaurants, but in a quieter part of town. The room was comfortable, clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and always ready to help. Would definitely stay at the Grims Grenka again!

Google
I would rate this hotel more a 4 star than 5 star hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast, good location and huge rooms. Our room unfortunately smelt very bad. They were aware of the problem but were unable to fix it. It was coming through the air conditioning vents. Because of the smell I wouldn't return as I understand it's an ongoing problem. Otherwise it was a lovely hotel.

We booked through TravelBird a 4 day city to Oslo. This hotel was included by default and certainly didn't disappoint. Might even consider this for a next visit. Clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff, ... All in all, very good!

Yelp
Cute hotel. Super nice staff. My family and I would recommend it. The kids are in super small rooms but they have everything they need. My husband and I are staying in a much larger room and the extra space is good.

Yelp
Grims Grenka is modern looking design hotel. It has dark walls and interior, which is something I normally fancy. However, here I found it a bit too much. Kind of depressing actually. In the lobby I think they can make a huge difference with a few adjustments with the light. Great rooftop terrace, good breakfast, nice room, good bathroom. This hotel is also supposed to be haunted. I did not see anything, however lots of people say they do...

Yelp
I have stayed at this hotel for at least 15 times and have always been satisfied. When they changed staff at front desk it changed a bit for me. Since I was used to be upgraded. I have lived in all the rooms and they are really really nice. Cool decoration with dark material. If u need light, this is not for you. The minus is the distance - its located 10 min from train station and the area, where the hotel is, is a well known place for hookers. So be safe when walking there at night. Love the breakfast, lots of things to choose from and the staff there are so lovely.
