Not that easy to find as down a side alley between the two main plazas, but it was well worth the effort. There was a larger hotel in the main square that had been our possible destination, but the totally disinterested staff there meant that we sought out the Guadalquivir. Nice room, spotlessly clean, quiet, superbly comfortable bed, with high quality linen, well appointed bathroom, and double double glazing (no that isn’t a typo!) Very reasonably priced indeed. The breakfast might be considered simple; tostadas with meats and cheese with tomato, or jam, with fresh fruit and real orange juice, but it was of an excellent quality. The friendly owners were keen to share their knowledge of Cazorla with us, so we managed to visit the castle and the local co-operativa for locally produced olive oils. Would be reluctant to stay elsewhere if we come back to Cazorla.
