Hótel Gullfoss

Our group of nine stayed for one night at this hotel. We told the hotel that we were celebrating a wedding and the hotel gave the bridal couple some wine as a gift. There is a restaurant for dinner but we ate before. There was a bar in a lounge that was open till 10 (?) which we did use to get together. They had some drinks & snacks in their lobby that you could buy. The rooms were comfortable although the shower was a bit small. The beds were good. The breakfast was very good - lots of variety. We would stay there again.

This hotel is a golden gem in this area! Quaint and pleasant lodging with spacious, well equipped rooms. Restaurant was great for dinner! Had the lamb - absolutely fantastic! Service at the hotel was very accommodating and friendly.

We stayed for one night, two couples and found this to be a sweet hotel. Staff were helpful and kind and offered good suggestions. We woke early and did the hike to the waterfall which was gorgeous, to get there and be the only people at the falls was worth the early wake up. Showers are spacious and breakfast was perfect.

Fabulous spot near Gullfoss Falls ( and a great place from which to access the falls first thing in the morning before the crowds arrived). Efficient staff and room was fine. Bed comfy. Delicious lamb served at dinner and breakfast was good, view at breakfast was great!

We are very much enjoyed our stay here. Nice rooms and great staff. We got to watch the northern lights from the parking lot. This hotel is set far enough back so the viewing of the lights is terrific.

Middle or no where. We stayed in this hotel for one nighg. People working here really nice. Helpful. Checkin was very quick. The only thing bed was small. Price was also.

Hotel Gullfoss is a lovely, family-run hotel, located in a very quiet location just a few kilometers from Gullfoss. The rooms are nice and practically furnished. The food was very good, as was the breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and everything you could need. The staff were extremely friendly. We highly recommend the hotel!

I wanted to rate it higher but it is hard for the price. I travel a lot and the room is very basic, the bed was hard, and the pillows seemed old. The location is good as it's only a 4 minute drive or 45 minute walk to Gullfoss. The restaurant for dinner was nice and had typical prices and good food. Breakfast was just ok. I would stay elsewhere if I traveled to that area again.
