Hotel Gut Ising

I think the hotel staff are not used to foreign guests. Mistakes were made on getting my reservation right - saying I had booked for two nights when it was three. The reservation confirmation was confusing because I check out on Tuesday but the billing and breakfast inclusion was only up to the Monday. I received the wrong bill at the Bavarian restaurant. I was advised the Derby restaurant was open, when it was closed. I hired a bicycle for two days but not one staff member had the foresight to imagine I might need to know where the bicycle room is. It would help if they understood the property well and what guests might need. |In addition I had to spend time from my busy job trying to arrange a taxi that the staff said would cost a certain amount. When I called the number they advised, it was not correct. This lead to more time being wasted.|The property itself was very nice, but I only remember the service quality wherever I go.

I think is a good cost/benefit place. It’s a 4-star so don’t expect anything fancy. The architecture is interesting, and the hotel feels like a small town. I love that you can take your dog everywhere with the exception of the swimming pool/spa area. You can even take your dog while playing golf, I loved that!||The breakfast great, and for a vegan like I am, also great. I missed some few things not acceptable for a 5-star hotel, but for a 4-star, totally fine. ||The other restaurants, the Italian is very nice, with nice views and the food was OK. The Derby restaurant, nice place but average food. ||The golf course need a better maintenance. The grass was terrible in many places throughout the course.

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at Gut Ising and I can only say that it is a dream place! The beautiful estate offers a perfect combination of sports and relaxation. The riding halls and arenas are excellently equipped, and the horses are in very good condition. The professional riding lessons exceeded my expectations – the trainer is extremely competent and responds to the needs of the rider. The wellness area is cosy and invites you to linger. After an active day, you can relax wonderfully here. The service team in the restaurant also deserves special mention: the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. My room was lovely – everything was thought of to make the stay enjoyable. Overall, Gut Ising is a wonderful place for anyone who wants to exercise (Horse riding, tennis, golf, swimming) and relax at the same time. I highly recommend this place!

We had a great experience at this hotel hospitality was excellent and everyone was super friendly. The food was fantastic as well.

We stayed for a week in May and it was indeed a great experience. The hotel has extensive grounds, several restaurants and large indoor and outdoor pools. The location with views of the Chiemsee is just great. Special thanks to Ms. Helm at Reception - she made us welcome from our arrival and was extremely helpful all through our stay, making sure every wish is swiftly fulfilled and also giving us useful tips to enjoy the area.

Great swimming pool and Sauna. The mattress of my room was very worn out, the personal (besides the reception lady) were not particularly friendly or looked happy.

On this busy weekend it shows again how important staffing and training of the hotel employees is. We waited a long time to check in as no one was around. Then the outdoor pool was overfilled with guests and no one tried to clean up the towels or chaises. The dinner service was confused and uncoordinated. Rude service waiters yelled at us to wait outside and to get out of their way! Not an experience we expected.|No supervising manager was around.|We won’t come back here.
