Hôtel Gutenberg

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel in the heart of Strasbourg. The location was perfect – everything was within walking distance, and we even had a view of the cathedral from our room. The surrounding area is full of bakeries, restaurants, and shops, so we skipped the hotel breakfast to enjoy the many nearby options. The service made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms were quiet and peaceful – a bit on the smaller side, but spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious enough, and everything felt modern and well-maintained. Overall, we had a great and relaxing stay and can definitely recommend this hotel for a few days in Strasbourg.

We had a great 3-day stay here. The hotel is perfectly located a 15 min walk from the station, close to tram stop, very near the cathedral and a short walk to Petite France. We upgraded to a Deluxe room which was light and spacious with windows overlooking the street. Great sound proofing and a wonderful large shower. The breakfast was included in our stay and had a huge variety - pastries, cold meat, cheese, eggs, jams, cereals, breads and of course a selection of teas and coffee. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. |

The staff at Hotel Gutenberg made a huge effort, noticing small things like offering to keep a friends cakes cool by putting them in a fridge. Nothing was too much trouble from putting a note of jogging routes into the room, to taking good care of our bags and delivering them to the room before we checked in. Breakfast was generous and well refreshed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hotel Gutenberg was in an ideal location just a block from the Notre Dame Cathedral of Strasbourg and the Grand Rue. You can easily walk to all sightseeing locations and the train station from this hotel. The room was small (as is typical in Europe) but cute, clean, and functional with all the necessities provided. The front desk staff were fluent in English and provided wonderful customer service! My husband and I would certainly stay there again.

The rooms are nice and comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed for a romantic weekend in Strasbourg. The breakfast is also good. The only negative point we found is there is a night club on Rue du Miroir on the other side of the street so if your room gives on that street you might hear a bit of noise during the night if you are a light sleeper. Obviously this is not the fault of the hotel and the rooms are actually quite well isolated (double windows). It did not prevent us to have good nights.

Last minute booking for a mini break. For the money it was a real bargain. New clean rooms, a great breakfast and they upgraded our rooms too. Massimo on the front desk is a star. The location is spot on which makes all the difference. If the rooms weren’t so well soundproofed we’d have been woken up by the bells of the cathedral. A minutes walk from the front door in any direction and you’re in cute side streets stuffed with good restaurants, cafes and shops

Bathroom up an almost vertical stair, pratically without door and no fan for the smell, unapceptable. Frigobar as night stand, very noisy. Only the hotel position is good.

i typically use a friend's flat when in Strasbourg but have stayed twice in this hotel in the center of old town, just steps from the 15th century Cathédrale Notre-Dame. a great combination of affordability, service and excellent accomodations. newly renovated, you have a choice between classic or contemporary design suites. they'll even let you inspect the rooms and choose! buffet breakfast is a treat, staff friendly and helpful. and everything is just a short walk away. a brilliant choice.

Excellent location. Newly re-decorated with 4-ply Windows so absolutely quiet while being in center-city. Full continental breakfast and very welcoming main desk staff. Priced quite reasonably. A steal!
