Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin & Adventure Center

Our family took part in the half day canopy tour. We drove ourselves. Zip lining was amazing and the canyon was straight out of a movie! We were then able to head to the Hot Springs and “mud bath” (Which was honestly more of a mud puddle you smear your body with) The hot springs were lovely and natural! Followed by a delicious lunch, highly recommend! We had our 3 children, ages 5, 7, & 9. We decided to tandem zip line with our five-year-old, but the other two were just fine having a blast on their own. (The zip lining staff were amazing!!!) Make sure to pause and have your kids take part in the rock, climbing optional area halfway through the zip line. They have photographers and the option of purchasing videos and photographs after for around $10 a person, well worth it! Leave your phone in the free lockers and enjoy the moment. We started our tour at 9 AM but arrived early and paid for a buffet breakfast, which was great as well. There were larger tours following us, somewhere around 25 people who followed with horseback riding, etc., but we enjoyed taking our time not being in a large group.

Visited while travelling Costa Rica from Canada. Great place for one night or a few! Easy access to amazing waterfalls and nature. Went with kids 6-11 years old and they loved it. Access to waterfalls and hot springs included with the nightly rate which is excellent. Smaller boutique feel which was very nice. Easy to recommend.

Wonderful resort, so much in touch with nature. Good rooms, within a peaceful garden with a hammock outside each room. Expansive resort with a lot of nature related activities: beautiful waterfalls (where you can swim), hot spring baths, rivers, pools etc... Very friendly and attentive staff. The great things is you do not have to pay 5* hotel prices to enjoy a wonderful resort like this. I highly recommend making this a 2 or 3 day stop on your trip trough Costa Rica

A truly magical hotel which has great facilities, staff and places to see on site. Recommend having a car so you can easily get to the waterfalls and hot springs. The waterfalls opposite the hot springs are amazing, we went to 5 of them and had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in the glamping tent which had a private pool, highly recommend for pure luxury! The breakfast was bought to our room and was perfect. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, we just stayed 1 night, so we can’t speak about any of the onsite activities, we just didn’t have time. This was our first stop so we could experience the La Leona waterfall adventure, but we both wished we could have stayed another night or 2 to experience the waterfalls/hot springs onsite. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was beautiful and spacious. The staff were friendly, and they were quick to respond with any questions. We both felt like the room was very reasonably priced, and we would consider going back with our whole family. It was such a nice way to start our vacation.

Highly recommend. We did hot springs, zip lining and tubing. All were really amazing experiences and could be stand alone activities. The zip lining was our favorite. Staff were excellent and worked really hard to ensure everyone was safe and had a good experience. There are water shoes for purchase if you didn’t bring any and don’t want to use tennis shoes, helpful to know ahead of time because you do need these for the tubing.

This place is a hidden gem. We were looking for a place near La Leona waterfall and decided to stay here a few nights. The grounds are spectacular. There are many tours available, but also complimentary attractions like Rio Negro Mud Baths and Hot Springs. Oropendola Falls is a must see - beautiful short hike to a lovely waterfall. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds. The pool area is also lovely. We weren’t looking for high end meals so we ate in the bar which had good food. Breakfast was included and it was also very good.

We just had an amazing 3 day stay at Hotel Guachipelin||Super friendly staff, beautiful grounds, comfy beds and nice rooms that have everything you need including coffee maker, mini fridge, nice veranda and hammock. ||The food here exceeded our expectations. It was among some of the best food that we had in Costa Rica||There are several walking trails to waterfalls on the resort as well as a shuttle to take you to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, additional waterfall trails and hot springs. This was ideal for us as we had not rented a car.||The highlight of our trip here was the ziplining/canyon course which includes 9 zip lines and a Tarzan swing. It was incredibly beautiful and among some of the favorite things that I have done in my life time. The guides throughout the course were Incredibly sweet as well.||I would highly recommend spending a few days at this resort if you are in the Liberia area!!
