Hotel Hacienda Tetakawi

Positive: Clean,pet friendly,patio,restaurant on premises. Negative: Garden area needs work. Outdoor seating area closed off. No microwave.

I have stayed here a few times, the last being 3 days in August, 2024. The staff has always been friendly, and the rooms reasonably clean at a good price. The beach is across the street, along with several restaurants. English is not spoken here very often, so you will need to bring your best Spanish.

Rooms fair. Not immaculate. Glass door to balcony did not close. Housekeepers nice. Front staff seemed annoyed to see us. We got this hotel because it's walking distance to pickleball courts. Near a few good restaurants that will leave your wallet lonely. Across from Beach. A go to Burger and breakfast place attached.

Decent place with a pool. We're planning on getting up early to drive back across the border. There was what looked like a wedding reception with extremely loud music till 1:00am that killed any chance of getting a good night sleep. I'm sure everyone else staying here didn't get that much sleep either.

Across street front playa that is not for swimming due to rocks. Staff helped with translation. Had credit card issues, manager was awesome. Pool is warm, good for lap swimming.

Very accommodating! Great for traveling with pets, incredibly reasonable pet fees. Was an wonderfully comfortable place to stay on our trip. Clean rooms, lovely amenities, and very kind staff :)

This is not a four star hotel. It is a two at best. The rooms are dated and not the best cleaned, front door was misaligned and hardware loose and sloppy, no ice (for drinks) but plenty for me as there was no heat in January? But at least the pool water was clear and not cloudy!

We have stayed here twice out of necessity. Back in the day this was a happening spot, and was the hit of the town. Now it is a relic. The staff tries real hard to make you feel like a quality customer, within their capabilities. The rooms are large in size, making it great if you are sprawling out with travel crap. We scuba dive, so their rooms are excellent for our needs. The price is adequate for the location. Too bad they do not have the funds to rebuild this location, They could get more income for the rooms, the location is good.

I brought a group of 40 Americans down last April, and then 38 this April. Enrique (the owner) was most accommodating, and his son (also Enrique) was in the process of re-vamping their restaurant capabilities. The rooms are not the finest, but if you travel a lot in Mexico as we do, they are quite adequate. The AC works well, the rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are good and the staff is very helpful. They have a new restaurant crew, including a trained chef, and they provided an excellent buffet dinner for my group one night. We left seventeen Jeeps parked behind the hotel for a week while we bussed to the Copper Canyon, and they hired security to watch them... we had zero problems. The hotel has a nice pool, and is situated directly across from Charley's Rock, and the bay... we had a fantastic time! If you want a good, clean hotel near downtown, pick this one!

Avoid this place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They play VERY LOUD music until 3 or 4 in the mornings. If there is a wedding, the music just gets louder.
