Hotel Hafen Flensburg

We stayed for a couple of nights in the "Brigg" room. It was smaller than anticipated but adequate - there's no sitting area just just one chair. The interior is high end, designer style and so is the common areas of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower area and was luxurious.|We had quite bad weather so the outside temperature was never more than 20-22C in the day which was lucky, there is no AC in the rooms and it was hot in the room. I would not wanna stay there on hotter days, it would be unbearable. |The window faced the yard, where there is a outdoor seating. That meant noise early in the mornings and especially late, late at night. Unfortunately the sound proofing can not deal with that so sleeping quality was poor. You had to close the window so the nights were hot. Too hot for the quite expensive price. |The garage is great and perhaps the only affordable thing about Hafen Hotel at €15 a night. |We did not have breakfast since it was €25 pp/day. Ludacris.|Due to the lack of AC we would not return in the summer, perhaps in winter time.

Very disappointed with the overall experience. For a 4 star hotel I expected better. We booked a water facing room, which was more expensive than the other rooms. The front desk did not tell us upon check in that the room would be noisy and hot. There is no AC so opening the windows allows you to hear the road noise all night. The room is gorgeous and spacious but after closing all the curtains at night, even with the windows open, it becomes a sauna. I wish there was a ceiling fan or floor fan. There is also no kettle or tea cups in the room. When I asked at the front desk, she seemed put off by my asking but did find one, and then told me to ask in the restaurant for a cup. For the price I paid, I'd expect far better service. Lastly, dinner at the hotel was really great, but we were charged for tap water, 7 euro and then again for a refill. The bill indicated sparkling water, the waiter tried to add extra. I didn't notice until the next morning and the front desk did adjust but again, she seemed very put off to provide good customer service. The location, the rooms are fantastic. But the service and attention to detail could do better.

The rooms are extremely warm and it is not possible to open the windows enough in many rooms to cool them down… Upon request to get a cooler room, I was informed by a slightly condescending receptionist that this would be a downgrade. When asking if I would get refunded the different I got a dry „That is not possible“… With these prices in this location, that is honestly terrible customer service.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful courtyard. Parking offered was very convenient and the quality of food was excellent. I travelled solo with my dog and he was made very welcome! Treats, a drying towel and a toy were left in the room for him! Overall a fabulous hotel especially if you're travelling with your four legged companion!

Nice wellness hotel with one of the best breakfasts in the area. Service stars could had been 5 if smiles were more common at the reception and you would had felt welcome.

A very (very) lovely hotel. Nice rooms, beautiful courtyard, comfortable lounge and tasty and well equipped breakfast. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel with a great location and atmosphere. The hotel has recently been renovated. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly. They have a nice yard where we enjoyed drinks.|The parking garage also worked smoothly.
