We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days in June and it was perfect for what we needed. We arrived via car, there is a large affordable car park at the beginning of the street.
Pros: The house is beautiful, and centrally located. The rooms and common areas are clean and well decorated. The self service coffee area was a nice touch. There was a lovely fragrance throughout the house (I'd love to know what it was). The Reception staff in the sister hotel were lovely, the girl that checked us in was really helpful and gave lots of recommendations.
Cons: Air conditioning was a little outdated and not very effective, the room was very humid. There is no Reception, you have to check in at their sister hotel on the next street along. We don't mind this at all, but we weren't notified of how to check in and had to look at other reviews to figure it out. Some other guests in the hotel were really noisy and inconsiderate - not the hotels fault. The building is old and therefore noise echos and the doors are quite loud, so you have to be mindful.
Overall it is beautiful, but low key, we have no issues with that, but might not suit guests who like a little more attention.
