I had a bit of a rocky start to my stay due to a booking issue after a long journey, and at first, I was disappointed with how it was handled. But to their credit, the hotel management took it seriously and were genuinely keen to put things right — and they did.
A number of reviews mention poor complaint handling, but my experience was completely the opposite. They listened, responded, and turned the whole experience around.
The hotel itself is great — not that modern, but clean, comfortable and in a brilliant central location in Nuuk. The breakfast was excellent, and the gym was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The resteraunts offers delicious local food.
One tip: as flights into Nuuk increase, more guests are arriving early in the day. Official check-in is at 3 pm, so if you’re on one of those early flights, it’s worth trying to arrange an early check-in in advance. There’s not a huge amount to do in Nuuk if the weather turns, so being able to settle in early makes a big difference.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay, and I’d happily return.
