Hotel Harder Minerva

The location is very good as it is close to the bus station and honestly, you can even walk to both stations, west and ost. Although, they did provide us with interlaken transport card. The room and toilet were clean. The breakfast was included in the price and it was very good. It had all the items that anyone would look for to have a great breakfast. There were eggs, cheese, fruit salad, yogurt, waffles, bread, honey, jam, corn flakes, nuts, dried fruits, prunes, cold and hot drinks as well. They weren’t flexible with the early check in, yet, they were flexible with leaving our luggage before check in and after check out. Our mobile charger adapters didn’t work there so we had to borrow an adapter from the reception after paying 10 CHF that is refundable, it is just a deposit. Friendly room service staff. The prices were good since it is Switzerland 😁 overall, I had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed my time there with a super comfy bed.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Harder Minerva in Interlaken. The room felt very homey and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety to start the morning right. The location is also perfect — just a short walk from the train station and conveniently close to Coop. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Interlaken!

We stayed at Hotel Harder Minerva for one night, mainly due to its convenient location near shops, a park, and easy access to paragliding activities. For that purpose, it was ideal. However, the hotel itself feels quite dated. The room was dim and dull, but the room is tidy and clean plus a portable AC. The breakfast room is spacious, and the buffet offers a decent selection, but the decor is 'vintage'. The staff were friendly, but not particularly helpful. We were allowed to leave our luggage until 6pm, which was appreciated. However, we only learned about the hotel guest pass for free bus travel after purchasing a boat cruise—something that should have been mentioned at check-in. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Thankfully, when we returned to collect our luggage, the staff kindly issued the pass, which helped us get to the station with our heavy bags. Overall, the location is great for outdoor activities, but the hotel itself could benefit from some updates and clearer communication with guests.

I understand some people complain about its location and dated status, but for me it s all good with soft bed and stable hot water in the shower. It also has great location and service. The agent I used provided wrong check out time ( 12pm instead of 11am, I understand I should memorize the hotel instruction), the front desk understand the situation and allow me significant amount of time to sort my stuff and check out, while always being very polite, I had a great time.

It’s one of the vintage hotel in the town. We got a room with beautiful view of the alps. Very clean bed sheets and bathroom. By walk you can reach Interlaken west station and harder kulm station to hill top cog wheel train.

I don't understand the negative reviews. We had a pleasant stay for 3 nights and weren't bothered much with anything. The room was clean, the location isn't that far from the train station and mostly, every interaction with the staff and reception were great.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. Probably the worst experience Ive had at any hotel. Receptionist and the coworkers was very rude. The breakfast is not fresh. Rooms are dirty. Found a crumpled piece of used tissue behind the tissue box on the table. Walls are broken and torn in corners. Floor is missing in corners. There are many other better hotels in the area that offer a much better experience for the price.

Well located, 10-12 minutes walk from train, (there is a shortcut). Room (dbl) small. A/c didn't work very well and very noisy. Breakfast ok, but coffee warm at best - Staff did not care. Guest kitchen a good idea
