Hotel Harder Minerva

I understand some people complain about its location and dated status, but for me it s all good with soft bed and stable hot water in the shower. It also has great location and service. The agent I used provided wrong check out time ( 12pm instead of 11am, I understand I should memorize the hotel instruction), the front desk understand the situation and allow me significant amount of time to sort my stuff and check out, while always being very polite, I had a great time.

We stayed at Hotel Harder Minerva for one night, mainly due to its convenient location near shops, a park, and easy access to paragliding activities. For that purpose, it was ideal. However, the hotel itself feels quite dated. The room was dim and dull, but the room is tidy and clean plus a portable AC. The breakfast room is spacious, and the buffet offers a decent selection, but the decor is 'vintage'. The staff were friendly, but not particularly helpful. We were allowed to leave our luggage until 6pm, which was appreciated. However, we only learned about the hotel guest pass for free bus travel after purchasing a boat cruise—something that should have been mentioned at check-in. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Thankfully, when we returned to collect our luggage, the staff kindly issued the pass, which helped us get to the station with our heavy bags. Overall, the location is great for outdoor activities, but the hotel itself could benefit from some updates and clearer communication with guests.

Great value hotel with vintage experience! A bit of a walk from the Ost station but well within city center. good place for a short stay. its a very old hotel but maintained well. No AC, only fan, but that was sufficient. rooms were maintained clean overall.

I knew I could not expect good stay but after checking in I know it better, the young lady asked my name and I told her, then she said I need to pay extra for my son who is 13 years old, I told her it’s impossible and prepared to show proof to her, then she changed her words that there were two same last names, and mine reservation is good for three, then she blamed me that I did not provide my full name which she didn’t ask. No stay in this hotel, read the reviews first, per my understanding, all the bad reviews are true and good reviews maybe not real! Stay away unless you want to be ripped off. Last word, look at that young lady’s face, looks everybody owes her .

Well located, 10-12 minutes walk from train, (there is a shortcut). Room (dbl) small. A/c didn't work very well and very noisy. Breakfast ok, but coffee warm at best - Staff did not care. Guest kitchen a good idea

Overpriced hotel. Old building, old furniture, wooden floor which was fine. Clean bathroom with hot and cold running water. Linen was clean. Front desk staff is indifferent. Location is good. Room AC provided in summer, which was effective. We got good views of snow covered mountains and para gliders.

I had a fairly average stay at the hotel Few of the pros and cons that I would like to share are: - Rooms are archaic, absolutely small and the bed was tiny too. - Breakfast was also disappointing. I could inly find bread and boiled eggs along with some fruits. I am not sure if this is a standard breakfast in the region, but I have had much better experiences - Staff was partially supportive. For example: I reached just few minutes before 10 PM, which was the last checkin time. I was informed that I would have had to self checkin past that. However, I wasn’t shared any details for such incidents and I didn’t find any numbers on the door for such cases. - Location is in the middle for Interlaken west and Ost stations, so that’s one of the advantages.

The hotel location is very near to interlaken west and a little far from OST. The hotel interior gave a vintage look with vibrant colors. Breakfast was reasonable. Talking about rooms, very small room and washroom. The view from the window was scenic. As I arrived early, the room was not fully ready, they prepare for me and it was then neat and clean. They don't offer much but for a night or 2 it's ok for single person.
