Hotel Harmony

My friend and I have just returned from a fantastic stay in the Hotel Harmony. It has a wonderful location by the banks of the river, right in the heart of the city. Every aspect of our stay was top class. A very warm welcome greeted us upon arrival and check in was smooth and efficient. Our room, although a little dark, had everything we needed and more. Both it, and the bathroom, were perfectly appointed. Breakfast the following morning was a delight, all the usuals and more. The jewel in the crown of this hotel has to be the location. Although in the heart of the city, it is very quiet at night as it is situated on a pedestrianised street (so all of the advantages of a city centre hotel and none of the disadvantages). The rooftop pool was a joy on very days, perfect for a dip and a cool down. The only negative was the bar. As already mentioned the decor in this hotel is very dark resulting in a gloomy atmosphere at times . We never had a drink there as it was always empty. However, there are so many wonderful restaurants and bars in the vicinity yit was never an issue for us. If I ever return to Ghent, I will not look any further than the Hotel Harmony, it ticks every box!

We had a great time in this quaint hotel in Ghent. ||Pros included (1) an amazing breakfast, (2) cleanliness, (3) nice pool, and (4) great location. The staff was also very helpful in providing advice, helping us with laundry service, and arranging cars for us. ||Con was the room layout. We were on the top floor at the window was very small / tilted. Perhaps this is expected from a historic European building, but nonetheless noteworthy (especially because we booked a room with a city view).||Overall, would highly recommend, especially given the exceptional value.

This is a great hotel! Lovely location on the canal but in the noisiest part of the centre. Walking distance to all the attractions and right by the hop on hop off water tram and near the regular tram stops. Even the Cosy Double room was spacious, with seating and a lovely big bed with choice of pillows. Breakfast is excellent, high quality very fresh food. Fruit infused water and pastries available every day. Good sustainability policies; they plant a tree if you agree to forgo housekeeping. Staff very helpful and friendly, you can buy a Gent City Card from Reception - recommended if you’re going to all the sites. I really recommend this hotel!

We stayed only one night and booked the luxury double room with a shower. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel looks beautiful and clean. The breakfast was the best experience ever; too many delicious options to choose from and so fresh, good coffee, and, again, friendly staff. The room was fully equipped, including coffee and tea (extra pillows, ironing supplies, soap, shampoo, fridge for a mini bar etc.), and if you forgot something, you can contact reception for assistance. A separate toilet area in the bathroom was perfect. If I return to Ghent, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. General tip: use a parking garage just outside the old city center. It's only a short walk to the hotel and much cheaper.

We stayed for 3 nights in Ghent during the festival. We booked the exceptional double rooms and it did not disappoint. The room was huge, with double height ceilings and spotlessly clean. Location perfectly central. Pool was a big plus and was great for a morning swim. Breakfast was also delicious. The staff were amazing, and a shout out to Ella Mae who served us 3 times during our trip, the service was brilliant. Highly recommend.

The hotel was great!!! You could ask for a better location, right in the heart of picturesque Ghent. I was like stepping into a fairy tale. Each room was completely different than the next with a lot of charm. Our server Elemay was fantastic she told us about the history of the hotel and about the area. We will be staying here again on our next visit!

Unfortunately we chose the wrong time to go to Ghent, it was the few days before the start of the Ghent festival, there were stages in all the squares and a lot of construction traffic and noise around. ||However, this didn't detract from the great experience of staying at Hotel Harmony. We had a room at the rear of the hotel, overlooking the pool. I don't think I've ever stayed in such a clean hotel, it was spotless. A very comfortable bed, large refurbished room with all the facilities you could need. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'm pleased we booked breakfast as that was very nice too, lots of choice. ||I'd say the only downside was that we were looking forward to using the pool, but there were refurbishment works being carried out to the decking. Apparently the pool was still useable, but it really wouldn't have been a relaxing experience. It was a little disappointing that these works were happening in July - busy swimming pool season! ||If we do return to Ghent, then we will definitely be booking the Hotel Harmony - Highly recommended.

🏩 One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at - harmonious indeed! 📍A very charming boutique hotel right by the river, unbeatable location The attention from the whole team was stellar from prior to the stay and during. Very professional and welcoming, much appreciated especially as a solo traveller. Stylishly decorated and elegant hotel with different buildings. My room 140 on then fourth ;) floor had amazing views of the river and main "towers" of Ghent. The view was simply stunning! 🛌🏻 The room itself was luxurious and modern - massive bed, two types of pillows for your comfort, modern lights, tea and coffee facilities, complimentary water, complimentary slippers, safe, big TV and more. The bathroom was also super modern not to mention the "massage" toilet. 🍳 Breakfast was delightful, again one of the best in terms of quality and variety. Cured meats and cheeses, salmon tzatziki, pancake maker, cereal, muesli, flapjack, loads of fruit and healthy options, nice juices and more. You can order a main made-to-order and the omelette was absolutely divine! Had such a harmonious stay in beautiful Ghent!

Love this hotel! Great tub and spacious room and good wifi. Very clean and room had nice a-frame character on top floor and excellent city view at end of hall. Perfect walk to castle or Wandelbus or anything else. Great coffee in morning in room as well and complimentary large bottle of water, which you appreciate after paying a lot for water for a week. Would happily spend more time here!

This place is excellent. The location is central and on the water. The staff is amazing and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large with every possible comfort you'd need. I was worried I would get an old hotel that had issues, but they've integrated a very modern take into this old area and the result is great. Strong recommendation!

So happy to have the experience to stay here. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Loved the breakfast and the special drinks in the outside cafe.

Modern facilities, clean as a whistle, great courteous staff....and a location that is right on the river. What a great hotel!
