Hotel Harmony

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms are very stylish and well appointed. There is a lovely lounge, bar and courtyard in which to relax and enjoy the very delicious cocktails. The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious, offering continental, pastries and hot dishes. The staff were exceptional. So welcoming and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

We highly recommend this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. It’s on a wide canal and right in the middle of everything. The Castle of the Count is right at the end of the block. The Chocolate Ambassade, the only Chocolate Tasting in Ghent is on the same block as the hotel. All the main cathedrals are within 2 blocks. Two boat tour companies are at the end of the block. It’s a good 15 minutes walk from the Gent-Dampoort train station (NOT the Gent Station) while hauling luggage. We got a room overlooking the canal and we loved it. But warning, if you aren’t a night owl you MIGHT want to get a room NOT overlooking the canal or simply use ear plugs. We stayed Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and the bar across the canal was noisy until well after 1 a.m. The windows are well insulated so Ear Plugs were enough to allow us to sleep. Room #321 was very large with plenty of storage. The bed was king sized and firm. There is a safe and though on the small side, it fit a standard size MacBook pro when turned diagonally. Breakfast was ample not huge and had a very good selection. The hotel and the room were very modern and clean.

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is conveniently located and they go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The room thermostat worked very well, and the room darkening curtains made sleeping easy. We will definitely stay here again.

We needed a place with parking at the end of a three-week road trip, so this was a top choice when considering location. We were able to use our car to visit Bruges one day, but while in Ghent, everything in the old city was walkable. It’s a small garage, so do reserve ahead and follow directions for finding the place. ||We opted for a room with a river view, which was fun. Everything was clean, staff were responsive, and breakfast was a very good Euro buffet. The bed was comfortable, and we were away from the busiest areas, so it was quiet at night.

We had a wonderful time. The welcome was genuine and as it was a birthday weekend they proposed a birthday decor and nibbles surprise. That was just perfect. Huge life size balloon, snacks and mini cakes, drink, confetti and a festive banner. |The breakfast was perfect and so was the location. We parked at Tolhuis to save a little on parking but availed of the boat booking that was cheaper than at the boat kiosk. All excellent!

Hotel is very updated and has contemporary sense. Rooms nicely appointed. Location was perfect, close to everything, nice restaurants, but slightly out of main pedestrian traffic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, highly recommend, all standard items and made to order eggs, waffles, etc. From train station, tram gets you close about a 10 minute walk, although rolling suitcases on cobblestones a little more challenging. Good value for amenities.

We loved the Hotel Harmony. The location was beautiful - right on the water and close to everything. The staff were lovely and helpful. The woman who checked us in went out of her way to tell us we had arrived on a busy day for the city and helped us to make restaurant reservations at a great spot. Our room was very well-appointed, with windows looking down on the water and over the city.

Love this hotel! Great tub and spacious room and good wifi. Very clean and room had nice a-frame character on top floor and excellent city view at end of hall. Perfect walk to castle or Wandelbus or anything else. Great coffee in morning in room as well and complimentary large bottle of water, which you appreciate after paying a lot for water for a week. Would happily spend more time here!

This place is excellent. The location is central and on the water. The staff is amazing and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large with every possible comfort you'd need. I was worried I would get an old hotel that had issues, but they've integrated a very modern take into this old area and the result is great. Strong recommendation!

So happy to have the experience to stay here. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Loved the breakfast and the special drinks in the outside cafe.

Modern facilities, clean as a whistle, great courteous staff....and a location that is right on the river. What a great hotel!
