Hotel Harmony

Very lovely hotel on a canal. We got there early and they held our luggage while we enjoyed wandering around the town, and the Christmas Market. The room was very nice with an entry way for storage and a safe. It has a desk area, a sitting area with chairs and a birthday card and gift for me ❤️!! The windows had a view over the pool (closed for winter), a separate toilet room from the vanity and shower area. Modern and chic! We added on the breakfast buffet and were very happy with the variety and quality of food available. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. I would 100% stay here again.

What a lovely special place to stay. I adored the hotel and the location was fabulous. A few minutes walk away was the Ghent Christmas market filled with food treats and holiday gifts. The hotel breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had. Fresh and wonderful variety. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was immaculate. I look forward to coming back again sometime.

This boutique hotel is in an absolutely ideal location in the heart of Ghent, it is is small and private and boasts a little rooftop pool in warmer weather. What was really wonderful though was the staff, who helped me find great restaurants and provided extra snacks for myself and my children. The kindest part though, I left a necklace in the safe and they are helping me reroute back.

Hotel Harmony was a complete treat in itself. My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was amazing. The view from our room was next level, looking over the canal and the city. The breakfast was decent, eating a plant based meal we didn’t have a lot of options besides the bread, cereals and fruits. The staff were always super accommodating for our dirty needs and actually provided us with a few vegan things to take away from the restaurant to enjoy on our time. So that was a super kind gesture in this cruel world we live in today. The room itself was spacious with all the amenities one could possibly need. The proximity to the city center couldn’t be matched! We were within a five minute walk to anything and everything Ghent has to offer, the castle is at the end of the street, the Christmas markets were just across the canal with everything else. We definitely recommend Hotel Harmony!

We highly recommend this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. It’s on a wide canal and right in the middle of everything. The Castle of the Count is right at the end of the block. The Chocolate Ambassade, the only Chocolate Tasting in Ghent is on the same block as the hotel. All the main cathedrals are within 2 blocks. Two boat tour companies are at the end of the block. It’s a good 15 minutes walk from the Gent-Dampoort train station (NOT the Gent Station) while hauling luggage. We got a room overlooking the canal and we loved it. But warning, if you aren’t a night owl you MIGHT want to get a room NOT overlooking the canal or simply use ear plugs. We stayed Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and the bar across the canal was noisy until well after 1 a.m. The windows are well insulated so Ear Plugs were enough to allow us to sleep. Room #321 was very large with plenty of storage. The bed was king sized and firm. There is a safe and though on the small side, it fit a standard size MacBook pro when turned diagonally. Breakfast was ample not huge and had a very good selection. The hotel and the room were very modern and clean.

Stayed four nights in September 2025. Outstanding location. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Don’t stay on fourth floor as rooms have ceilings with slope of roofline making room cramped. Same class/price room is available on third floor. This room was amazing - good size and excellent balcony overlooking canal. Staff kindly accommodated us in switching from fourth floor to third floor room. Breakfasts were fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is conveniently located and they go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The room thermostat worked very well, and the room darkening curtains made sleeping easy. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is a 2 minute walk to a street full of lovely restaurants. The location is superb. Every day there are fresh pastries and infused water available as an afternoon snack. The staff are attentive and pleasant. If I come back to Ghent we would definitely stay again

Love this hotel! Great tub and spacious room and good wifi. Very clean and room had nice a-frame character on top floor and excellent city view at end of hall. Perfect walk to castle or Wandelbus or anything else. Great coffee in morning in room as well and complimentary large bottle of water, which you appreciate after paying a lot for water for a week. Would happily spend more time here!

This place is excellent. The location is central and on the water. The staff is amazing and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large with every possible comfort you'd need. I was worried I would get an old hotel that had issues, but they've integrated a very modern take into this old area and the result is great. Strong recommendation!

So happy to have the experience to stay here. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Loved the breakfast and the special drinks in the outside cafe.

Modern facilities, clean as a whistle, great courteous staff....and a location that is right on the river. What a great hotel!
