Nice spacious family room in historic building within the city gates in the center. All highlights in Dinkelsbühl can easily be reached by a short walk. Friendly staff. Good breakfast in the morning, which is included in the price. You can reserve a table for diner in the restaurant in the hotel. They serve several local and German dishes. Food is good. When checking out there was some confusion whether the room was paid for already via the platform I used to book it. This was the case although the staff initially thought it wasn't. So make sure you are clear on this yourself.

The room was large and comfortable, with good water pressure. The only issue was the WiFi speed which was not sufficient to make a WhatsApp call.

Great, small hotel, perfectly located. Newly renovated bathroom (with bathtub and shower). One of the few hotels, during our three week travel in Germany, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, that provides a few bathroom amenities such as shower cap, bar soap, and a vanity kit. We were greeted by a charming and extremely helpful young lady, originally from the Dominican Republic, who helped us with our luggage and the garage for our car. |Our spacious room had a complimentary bottle of water, safety deposit box and a large sitting area. The Queen bed was lovely. |As it was raining, we had dinner at the hotel and were not disappointed. |I would have given the hotel a 5* rating if it had not been for the morning buffet breakfast. We arrived at 8:45 and there were no rolls left. There was only a half loaf of bread. We asked and were told that they had a large group, which started breakfast before the normal breakfast time. This left a sour note as hotels are supposed to plan ahead and replenish items during breakfast...especially bread rolls. |Dinkelsbuhl is one of the loveliest small towns in Germany. A fairy tale! Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. |

A gem of a hotel in a beautiful little town. The room was large with hand painted furniture. Everything was spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Lovely fresh breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They spoke good English.|The town is picture postcard with lovely walks and the church is worth a visit. All in all Dinkelsbuhl was the highlight of our Bavarian trip. Can't recommend it highly enough, especially haus appelburg.

We were traveling the long road east from the UK and stopped for two nights in Hotel Haus Appelberg. Beautiful surroundings with picturesque buildings throughout the old town. We booked a double room which was very spacious and had all the necessities needed for a warm and comfortable stay. The hotel restaurant had a menu with choices for all tastes including a lot of traditional local cuisine. They also had tasty local draught beers to match. The Staff and owners were very nice and helped us a lot, they even packed a breakfast to go as we were leaving early hours on the last day. ||||Some food for thought, We were charged for a travel cot 10 euros a day, which is normally free of charge. Parking could be an issue during summer months or a longer stay as parking is restricted only for locals during the times of 8 am-6pm. ||||All in all, we would thoroughly recommend a stay at Hotel Haus Appelberg.||||Family Lloyd

A wonderful hotel in a great, central location. It's comfortable, quiet and is really well-situated to walk around the town. The service is very friendly and welcoming and the place is clearly popular with the locals because the indoor and outside bar areas are frequented by locals - always a good sign. The room we had was wonderful - spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished. It was large, bright and welcoming. I have only positives to say about the hotel. We didn't eat there, other than breakfast, but that was a good, continental-style one. I only wish we'd been able to stay longer.

This is the perfect hotel for the fairy-tale town of Dinkelsbuhl. A small family run hotel with a mere eight rooms, one immediately feels "at home." The rooms are large and nicely appointed. Additionally we had dinner here and it was superlative. The breakfast buffet is also wonderful. The owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our room. All in all, a marvelous stay!

Lovely welcome on a rainy day by a lady who spoke English. Shown straight to our room and to the private garage we had booked just across the road. Traditional building, in a beautiful town, very comfortable and a very good price. Breakfast was limited but still good value. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
