Hotel House Freiburg highly NOT recommended to anybody . Not working shower ( read lower an answer of the hotel on our first feedback ) - they blamed our dog for the malfunction, which we never bathed in the shower. The table on which the TV stands is dangerous! It fell on our children along with the TV, the TV was damaged, we immediately reported it and emphasized that we would pay for the damage. You are insolent, you bought a new TV with a larger diagonal, claiming that the old and new have the same dimensions and demanded money from us for a new TV, the cost of which is much higher than the TV that the children damaged (I emphasize - the TV stand fell on the children). For two days you could not solve the question and answer us - what was the cost of the broken TV and its diagonal. After which, finally, your master reported that we damaged the TV with a diagonal of 43, and you demanded from us to pay for a new TV with a diagonal of 50. You admitted your mistake, wrote us a check that we paid for the damage. BUT . After that, the owner of the hotel shouted at us and rushed. And the hotel immediately canceled our stay at the hotel. And now, in general, on Booking, you want a full payment again, because we did not come to you. Are you ok there ? You think it’s normal ? We need compensation for the canceled reservation!

I'll start with the positives - a beautiful view of the sea, the room is the same as in the photo on the Booking, towels are changed every day, the staff knows English. That's all. The owner of the hotel is a very rude person, a person who does not know how to communicate with the guests of his own hotel. For staying in a hotel, you must pay extra for a dog, keep in mind. Breakfast is included in the price of the room, but you have to pay for coffee separately. Had a problem with the shower, every day the staff came to fix it, but the water was still everywhere. Because of the unpleasant situation with an owner of the hotel I sincerely DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Unfortunately can’t leave a feedback on Booking because the hotel cancelled our reservation , although we did our best to resolve the issue . But there was not a pleasant feeling after resting in this hotel.

Put a fair amount of ‘trip advisor surfing’ into the choice of hotel and were not disappointed.||||Stayed a few days in a lovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the sea (as do most rooms and the general areas in the hotel). All amenities worked well. Cleanliness is evident everywhere, including the pool area - an infinitely better choice for lazing in the sun than the public beaches in Ulcinj which, in summer at least, are unbearably crowded with sand the colour of mud. (Rather disconcerting when you come from Australia.) Breakfast was adequate, and on the occasions we ate dinner in the hotel it was tasty and good value, although with a limited menu. What really makes this hotel is the friendliness of the owners (the Mehmedis) who buiit it in 2008 and run it as a family business. They were always helpful, as too was Ahmed on reception. Language (English, German, Serbo-Croat, Albanian and probably others) was not a problem, which was particularly helpful in the booking process to know precisely the facilities one would be getting. Location is a bit of an issue without a car, but on the other hand the views are tremendous, and one avoids the raucous late night noise from nearer the beach.||||As for Ulcinj itself, that is another story and the subject of another review, but that should not take away from the quality of this very nice hotel. One gets the feeling such places are hard to find in Ulcinj. Thank you to all for a pleasant stay.

Enjoyed this visit to Freiburg and would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is included and such a lot of choice. All very good. The owner made us a traditional Albanian meal one evening, very nice. ||The room we had was excellent with a huge spa bath, double sinks with a hairdryer. ||||Elvis and Adnan who looked after us were excellent. ||||For one of the days we went to Aquarius Beach Club. 10 euros for 2 sun beds and umbrellas for the day. Excellent value. There are a few beach clubs but this is the best one. The best restaurant is in the old town, ask at the hotel for name. We had a fish dish for 2 which was 36 euros. Such good value.||||Our other day we stayed in the hotel at the swimming pool. All to ourselves so was like our private terrace. A good day.||||Stay at this hotel, you will not be disappointed. Family run business.

After a 12-day stay in Croatia (Split, Dubrovnik), we chose to spend the last 3 days in Montenegro sitting in the sun. I found this 4 star hotel which in pictures looks more than ok. We are customers who prefer and know the conditions of 4 stars, and this hotel does not meet them in half. Last night when we arrived we had to waste precious time changing rooms, one was not locked, and another was dirty. I chose one in a slightly cleaner finish, because we were too tired. The next morning at breakfast we had the surprise to see that he was poor. I asked the lady who is in the restaurant if they have eggs, sausages, products typical for breakfast and she answered no. I told her that it is not ok to offer such a breakfast in a 4 star hotel, I also reminded her of the dirty rooms I saw and the one I stayed in and she answered me that the lady from the cleaning had an accident and in a rough tone she said "sorry". We decided to leave and asked them to check out, we asked for the invoice on the company and they hesitated to do so. I explained to them that attitude is not ok and on our money and time cannot understand these things. It is not my problem to worry about this in our holiday as They have no cleaning lady, I pay a 4 star service and I expect to receive this. Also I mention that in the bathroom you can find used towels, you do not have kit of brush and paste, hair conditioner, have some jokes of bathrobes broken and damaged and the shower is miserable. You have no way to stay in such conditions at 4 stars. I told them to expect reviews that reflect the reality and they replied that on booking I can't do this because I called directly to the hotel for booking and for them other reviews do not matter. For your health safety go to another and real 4 stars hotel.

Staying here was such a treat and we wished we could stay longer! Karen & her husband were kind & friendly and in mid May (out of season) we had the place to ourselves - heaven. The view from our room, the pool & the restaurant are amazing. It was a really peaceful location. The bed was huge & comfortable and we had everything we needed in our studio. The swimming pool was fantastic. Karen made some excellent recommendations for dinner that were spot on and we enjoyed the 15/20min walk down to the beach & the old town. Breakfast was continental, generous & wonderful - great coffee! Highly recommended.

We went as a family of five and had a very pleasant stay. The owners were very friendly, the rooms and pool area clean and from both room, pool and restaurant there is a great view of the Adriatic Ocean. If I ever came around these parts again I would pick this place again.

Very bad behavior from the owner. He wanted to charge us more money fro what we already had paid because we used the pool for 2 times. Terrible experience from a bad host. Moreover the hotel is real far from the downtown. You need 10 mins by car. Not recommended!
