A very nice place to stay in Tarbert, within walking distance of the CalMac ferry as well as shops a short distance away. The room was clean, spacious and well-appointed; we had everything we needed plus a few extras. The hotel also features an excellent restaurant (the smoked salmon is amazing) and there is a pub on the other side of the hallway. We could not hear any noise from the pub in our room. It's a good base from which to explore Lewis & Harris.

During our 2 night stay we sampled the restaurant and the bar - slightly different ambience but the same tasty, varied menu. Breakfasts were equally good too. Service everywhere was friendly and efficient. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable with very nice large bed and great shower. Free parking just outside too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Warm welcome, parking across the road and luggage can be dropped right at the door. Only slight negative is that there is not a lift. We were fine but if you can’t manage stairs you would have a problem. |The restaurant and the bar are busy and very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the food in the restaurant was very nice indeed. |The room was freshly renovated in a charming style. Quite elegant. Very good bathroom but again quite small. |My greatest wish is that hotels would provide a guest laundry. Some of us are traveling from far away and for extended times. Just saying.

The Hotel Hebrides is a great place to stay if you’re visiting the Isle of Harris. The fact that it is next door to the Ferry Port is also a bonus. The hotel is small but very friendly. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. One very nice member of staff went out of her way to suggest a list of places/beaches that we should visit.||We had never been to The Isle of Harriss before but had heard of the wonderful beach with Caribbean blue water and white sandy beaches. If it wasn’t for the fact that I knew that I was in Scotland, I would happily concur with that description. The room at the hotel was nicely decorated in a modern way but still retaining a traditional Scottish feel. They even give you a small decanter of locally distilled Whiskey free of charge in your room.||The quality of the food was good and was served either in the bar or through in the restaurant, which requires you to book a table. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Hotel Hebrides.

Last minute dash for dinner with friends. ||Lovely atmosphere when you enter, appeared to be quite busy but was seen to within seconds. Staff were friendly and attentive. |Lovely menu selection, good filing portions. |Only downside I’d give feedback on is a drinks menu on the tables.

Travelling through the Western Isles from Barra to Lewis this was the highlight of our accommodation over the week and a very welcome visit after a disastrous two days at a hotel on The Isle of Barra. ||A warm welcome on arrival. Rooms were spotless. Beds comfortable with great products in the bathroom. ||The Gin/whisky distillery is a short walk away and the hotel is a great base for exploring Harris and Lewis by car and also very handy for the ferry to Uig on Skye. ||My client and I had dinner here and it was excellent, breakfast was also excellent . ||Great value for money, friendly staff and a special shout out for the Australian girl (sorry didn’t get her name!) who’s working in the restaurant who was so efficient and friendly and was working her socks off keeping everyone happy. ||Highly recommended! ||One suggestion though would be soft closing fittings on the doors leading onto the corridors from the stairs as my client said the door was banging until midnight as people went to bed. ||Fantastic and see you again soon.

We asked for a quiet room. Answer was to book a 4 persons bedroom till the remaining for 2 was above the bar. The 4 persons bedroom is above the kitchen and it's noisy VAC. Room was too warm and impossible to refresh it due to the VAC noise. In fact the bar is closing early and was most probably a better price and real saving. Last but not least, hotel highly recommend to book the restaurant in advanved till full. Restaurant was not and we guess about the reason. The quality of food , taste is not worth the price. Risotto is not done with risotto rice. The worst risotto i got served ever. 10% tips was charged automatically. End of our experience

What a pleasant surprise in such a distant part of the world, a classy 4 star hotel with excellent bar and restaurant as well. The room was brand new, spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Special note to Anne for her professionalism and kindness, she does an excellent job for the hotel 👍
