Hôtel Helzear Etoile

Great hotel with an excellent location. Friendly staff — special thanks to Hajar and the boys, who were always helpful. The breakfast was everyday the same, but overall everything was very nice.

Excellent hotel, room was great, little tight walking around the bed but enough room for 2, nice kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Clean and neat. Bed and pillows very comfy. Very close to places to visit, quiet street. Put service as 4 as didn't have breakfast.

The location is great. The split level worked fantastic for family trip. Out of all the hotels on this trip(4), this is only one I’m taking time to review. Outstanding choice for family hotel!

Great experience here for our girls trip to Paris...comfortable room and very accommodating staff! They give great dinner recommendations in the area and Hadjar is especially helpful :) she is super sweet and made our weekend special. She even put flowers and chocolates in the room for my mum's birthday !

Wonderful stay! Salem at the front desk was so helpful, always greeted us and helped us with directions and taxis. Overall very great experience

I had a very disappointing experience with a staff member named Salem, who was extremely rude and demonstrated a complete lack of respect and basic communication skills. I called the reception a couple of times, and each time he answered only to hang up immediately, claiming he was busy. This behavior is unacceptable and shows a clear lack of professionalism and transparency. Unfortunately the location and the facilities is good, but to me service plays a big roll of my experience that I paid for. TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ITS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Update: When I asked to talk to the manger Numa, hoping for a more understanding and respectful response — but unfortunately, the same dismissive and unhelpful behavior continued. At one point, he offered a 50% refund and then explicitly asked me to remove my review. When I politely declined, he became angry, started shouting, and even went as far as to call me “crazy” and he made a seen. This was shocking and completely inappropriate. This kind of behavior shows a severe lack of hospitality and professionalism, and sadly, confirms many of the negative Google reviews that we had initially ignored. Our trip was seriously affected by this experience, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place — especially if you expect respectful communication, basic courtesy, and a safe, welcoming environment.

We were promised a refund by this hotel after a serious incident occurred in their private garage, where our car was badly damaged. The hotel acknowledged the situation and assured us we would be reimbursed. However, to this day, we have received no money back and they have been completely ignoring our messages and emails. Worse still, they managed to have our honest review on Booking.com removed, and even went as far as to mock us by saying we could “take a screenshot as a souvenir” before they would try to have this Google review deleted as well. This level of unprofessionalism, lack of responsibility, and clear disrespect for guests is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Think twice before trusting them with your stay—or your vehicle.

Unfortunately, my booking was canceled by the hotel only four days before check-in. I received no reply to my emails or phone calls. The hotel reported to the booking website that my credit card was invalid, even though the same card works everywhere else and has been used many times on the same platform. This caused a major inconvenience and is not a professional way to treat guests.
