Hôtel Hermès Vieux Port

Nice hotel, awesome staff Upsides were the breakfast offered although we didn't participate, the rooms were quiet despite the proximity to the harbour. Well stocked rooftop bar with great view. Downside were the broken elevator (minor) and the fact how the facilities themselves were a tad dated, leading to some ugly stains visible and a too small room

A lovely great value hotel in the heart of the old port. We only stayed for two nights at the start of our Summer tour of Provence and we’ll be back for the last night too before we fly back to the UK. It’s simple but very clean and is an ideal place to explore the area as you are next to the Petit Train and boat trips. It’s only a €15 Bolt to the Train Station too. We didn’t have breakfast as tend to prefer a “brunch” later in the day but the offerings looked tasty and with variety too. The best bit is the 6th floor roof terrace where you can have your breakfast and it turns into a bar after 6pm. The views are stunning and drinks are the same prices as the local bars too.

We travelled as a group and we were delighted with The Hermes. Communication in advance of travelling with Margaux was helpful and efficient. We received a warm welcome and were facilitated with leaving luggage on arrival and departure. |The staff were so kind and welcoming - on arrival and night staff also. |The rooms were very comfortable and everyone enjoyed a great night's rest. |The breakfast was excellent - a great selection and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The location is fantastic with side views of the old port from many rooms .. The rooftop terrace is a lovely facility and wonderful for photos of the Old Port and Notre Dame de La Garde. The Hermes offers a great product and excellent value in an unbeatable location.

Friendly,helpful staff. 1st room 101, dirty walls and woodwork, air con not working, given very old fan. Moved to room 202, air con slightly better, modern style fan, room still had dirty walls and woodwork in need of overall upgrade, shower much better in room 202, rooms very small for two people.

For the (high) paid we got: 1. One 1/2 liter water for a two person room, the first night only. 2. The only amenity is body soap/shampoo dispenser nailed to the wall 3. No hand towels. I was given a third body towel upon request. It was removed by the cleaning person by second night. 4. No kettle or complimentary coffee/tea 5. There's a desk but the "chair" is an uncomfortable chest/bench. After six hours working sitting there, my body hurt. Internet is good for basic browsing, terrible for anything else. Forget zoom calls. 6. No outlets near the bed. I understand the building is old but in 2025, this is basic. 7. Shower head holder broken 8. The view in the room is a building in front. You have to make an effort to view sideways a bit of the port. 9. The rooftop was rented the first night by private event, so couldn't be enjoyed. (One of the reasons to choose this hotel) 10. The check-in is 3pm and not a minute before. Doesn't matter if the room is ready ( and it was). 11. No secure luggage room. You are allowed to leave your luggage in the breakfast room, but at your own risk of anyone taking it. 12. Finally, the room is supposed to have AC but it was practically inexistent. And for this we should get a discount. A fan was provided. That worked ok, but still, it's the same as having a functional AC. * Some positives; comfortable bed and public transportation accessibility.

Firstly, we did not feel welcomed when we entered this hotel. The staff could be nice to you sometimes, but we did not feel prioritzed as guests and sometimes we felt awkward to ask questions. They do have a great terass as a rooftop bar. For some reason they do not trusts their guests, for instance you’ll have to leave your room key everytime you step out of the hotel (even for 5 minutes), when we invited some friends to come up to the rooftop we had to walk down five storys (the elevator was broken) to identify ourselves as guests. Secondly, the AC was broken one day and the elevator was broken the next, still no compensation for the inconvenience. Our staying at this hotel could be much better.

This was the perfect choice for us for an overnight stay. Basic amenities, very clean, great service. Location can’t be beat. The view from the rooftop is the cherry on the cake!

The location is amazing! Bed is comfy and roof top bar is amazing! ||However the staff weren’t that great, I am 6 months pregnant and I had put on booking.com to check in early and the lady simply said she would only let an old person check in at 2 if they really had to, no one else would be an exception, I have been travelling for 10 hours and was no able to check in at 12 or even at 1, only 3. |The shower was awful, leaked everywhere, the shower head is stuck to the wall so it doesn’t move and it doesn’t point the right way no matter which way u turn it. |The towels had holes in and were bleach stained.
