Kind of mixed feelings unfortunately…||||Very disappointed with:||||* Restaurant: not effective at all. Every time we were dining there or having lunch it took HUGE time. Moreover once we had a dinner there and ordered two starters and two “primi piatti” (pasta). We were assured by the waiter that it will take a little time to make both kinds while we also said that we are in a hurry, and want to make dinner fast. So… they managed to deliver only starters. We were waiting those pasta dishes for more than 25 min. After this enormous waiting time we explained that we could not wait any longer and left. Still we were charged for those two! So, reserve at least 1,5 hour for a dinner. ||||* Turkish bath: I had a possibility to go there only once during our stay and the visit was quite disappointing. I tried Turkish/steam bath. First of all: the cabin (it is really A CABIN accommodating only one person at a time comfortably) is made of plastic! When I sat down in it I immediately felt that “fishy” plastic smell which is neither very useful for a human nor а suspicion whether this plastic smell would harm your body is particularly therapeutic.||Secondly, last 20 minutes before the closing time the cabin did not function well, i.e. it simply stopped to warm up! At that moment all showers provided only cold water so I had to go to sauna for several minutes just to warm up before showering (I suggest, it would be quite profound movement from the management to get the idea that NOT ALL people though are allowed/prescribed/wish to visit particularly sauna, even in necessity just to warm up before showering). ||||* Wi-Fi connection! It almost does not exist! Yes, you have it in the lobby, but it is unavailable neither in your room, nor even in the restaurant which area is just 4 meters away from lobby. Ok, if hotel with such high prices cannot afford even wi-fi signal amplifier I think management could make a deal finding second-hand one, yes, they cost already nothing! Here, I guess it is important to note that the area around is most suitable for driving or biking, so maps and planning your next day route are essential!||||Could be improved:||* Our room was facing north, so it was not that much sun in the mornings, while for breakfasts we were sitted also on the northern side, so the impression that there is no sun in this place have been completed successfully. I would suggest guests will be sitted for breakfasts in the areas opposite to their rooms. Just for change at least as for some people it is important. ||||* Hotel has vast swimming pool premises, both indoor and outdoors, but if you are after a space to practice some yoga/pilates you will not find it after morning hours. I tried in summer, and did not succeed. Everybody is in the pool or next to it on any sun-beds. It also did not look like there was any vacant space around without sun-beds…||||On the plus side: ||* Good, varied breakfast, you can boil an egg (unusual in South Italy).||* Breakfast staff was fantastic: helpful, cheerful, positive. They even remembered that I want fresh cucumber in slices to every breakfast. They really saved our stay!||* Clean-up/trimming of the room was very good, also ladies making it were always very nice to us (as we got ill and had to spend quite a lot´s of time in the hotel).||* In-house massage: reasonably priced, very nice massage therapist.||* Hotel is maintained well, everything looks equal to their pictures.||||All in all, it would be quite comfortable hotel for an old-fashioned chap enjoying local newspapers in the morning, but for us that was close to disaster.
