Lovely hotel with very charming rooms (we stayed in one of the classic older style rooms). It was nice and spacious and clean. It was right above the main entry way though, so we had to close the windows if we wanted it quiet. The rooftop terrace is lovely, we ate lunch out there with a nice bottle of wine one afternoon. The views are incredible. The location is also perfect to walk around old town, catch a bus to the castles, or for any kind of groceries (its right behind this hotel). This is also very close to the train station.

A really good hotel in a great location which is perfect for exploring the town. The hotel itself is quite interesting and has a great rooftop terrace (a pity drinks aren't served up there). Rooms are good and nice and clean, with an excellent bed and comfy pillows. Shower a little sensitive to hot and cold but overall I had a good stay here.

We just returned from a 2 week trip through Germany and absolutely LOVED Hotel Hirsch! It is a beautiful historic hotel with charming, comfortable, immaculately maintained rooms. The staff was efficient and friendly. Rooftop terrace with stunning views! We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner was amazing -- the local trout served whole was some of the best fish I've ever had and the breakfast was delicious with so much variety. The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk to the Old Town and there is a convenient "mall" just behind the hotel with a REWE (grocery) and Rossman (drug store). We returned late one evening through the side entrance and walked into the bar for a nightcap. Only the staff and one man were there and it turns out the man was Harald, the 4th generation hotel owner. He invited us to sit with him and we had a wonderful conversation -- very nice man. He even shared his favorite whiskey with us and we also met his teenage son the next morning who had just started working at the hotel on weekends to help with breakfast. Fabulous experience all around -- our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Highly recommend. Extremely clean, spacious, friendly. Excellent restaurant on site. The hotel is a 4th generation family run hotel. The hotel is filled with historic and modern touches. Artwork, antique furniture and stained glass can be found throughout the hotel. Modern touches such as heated floors and rain showerhead. This hotel is centrally located. A true gem and value.

The staff at Hotel Hirsch are very efficient and took care of all the needs of our family group of 14. They worked with me to reserve rooms of various sizes as needed and reserved a large table for our family meals. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast featured both cold and hot items, and the dinner meals were excellent. I would highly recommend the Hotel Hirsh and commend the staff for their attention to all details of our stay.

We stayed at Hotel Hirsch for three nights. First, the hotel is located a few steps from "old town", letting us put the car keys away the entire stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful when checking in. The room was spacious, immaculate and boasted some of the finest "hot" water imaginable with a fabulous deep tub to soak after a long 9 mile hike up to Mt. Tegelberg. The hotel was quiet throughout the night and the morning breakfast buffet was exquisite in it's presentation, variety of food to eat and culinary craftsmanship. To put it another way, this is a fantastic hotel and well worth the veey reasonable price per night. Vielen dank Hotel Hirsch.

I really loved this hotel — it’s a place I’d love to come back to. The room was spacious with a bathtub, and the welcome Haribo was such a sweet touch. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.A truly comfortable and pleasant stay.

Google
Fantastic place to stay. Easy parking directly in front of the hotel with the historical town directly across the street. The hotel itself is a work of art, both on the inside and the outside. The beer garden at night was very cozy, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was bountiful.

Yelp
This is the CUTEST hotel- right by the entrance to the city so perfect for getting to the neuschwanstein castle but also just steps from old town. There is a cute garden you can see in our photos and there is also an amazing restaurant inside. Our room was SO CUTE and very clean with a balcony window that opens to look into the town. I love this hotel, this town, and can't wait to stay here any time I'm in Füssen.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Me and my husband stayed here only one night but I was so sad to leave. This may be my most favorite hotel experience ever! We opted for the upgraded room which was a larger room and very large bathroom with heated floors. The room was amazing and the bed soooo comfortable. We also visited the restaurant which was also divine. We loved this hotel and this little town.

Yelp
Outstanding! For over a century, Hotel Hirsch has been operated by 3 generations of a single family. You easily feel the warmth (and I'm not talking a hot summer night) and love from the halls to the well-maintained comfortable room to the breakfast buffet and beer garden. And don't miss the house dog... On arrival, they were ready for us and had a special surprise, our reserved themed room was upgraded to a tower room... beautiful. This room was spacious, spotless and everything I could have wanted. The decor was a mix of modern, up to date bathroom, enough electrical outlets (for techy travelers) and the homey bedroom. There were plenty of windows making it bright and airy. I didn't want to leave! To top it off, the staff was so nice and patient with all of my questions and requests. They didn't blink an eye when I showed-up at 6:30am looking for hot water for a cup of tea. They were busy setting up for breakfast at the time so I was an interruption. And don't miss the breakfast buffet. It was the best we saw on our multi-city trip. They are obviously doing something right... an addition is under construction at this time but you would never know it from inside the hotel. I think I want to go back to this breathtaking part of German. Happy travels!

Yelp
The hotel is apparently located in the center of Fuessen and not too far from the famous two castles (Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau). We had a room for three people, one double bed and the third bed in a cute nook. Breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of food. Staff were excellent: we arrived late at night and the lady waited up for us and took care of us the moment we arrived. Service at breakfast was also friendly and efficient. If I'm ever in the area again this will be my first choice.

Yelp
Hotel Hirsch is expanding. Again. They are adding another wing with 29 rooms. The hotel is a family run business handed down through the generations. The hallways and most of the "themed" rooms are adorned with Bavarian antique furniture and sporadically built-in book cases containing hundreds of books for that late night read. It is located on one of the busiest streets in Fussen so don't jay walk, you could get run over! Upon check in we were upgraded into a very large room with spectacular Alp views, large king sized bed, gorgeous bathroom, lots of closet space and a separate water closet (toilet). It had a private balcony, large flatscreen TV and a two chair table. The room decor was amazing... The use of drift wood as curtain rod finials, the occasional stone block protruding through the walls and the ornate wooden ceiling. The entire hotel exudes Bavarian. Oh and there is an outside sitting area on the 3rd floor with breath taking views of the Hohes Schloss Fussen castle. Breakfast was included in our itinerary. Located just off the main lobby it is served buffet style and has everything! It opens at 7am daily (we were able to eat a couple of times at 6:50am...). The dining area itself is massive and covers about three dining rooms. It is quite the spread of hot and cold foods! Breads, jams and spreads, eggs, meats, fruits, vegetables, pastries, coffee, juices, cereals, cheeses, etc., etc. It is well worth any additional cost just for the convenience of an early start since almost all tourists are in a hurry to get in line for castle tickets. They even have a beer garden and a full blown Austrian cuisine restaurant. The outside tables are located under beautiful trees and grape vines, blocked from the busy street by hedges. It seems to be a gathering point for the locals. Lastly there is a full blown modern grocery store right next door called REWE so you can stock up on bottled water, snacks, or create your own picnic basket for one of the many nearby parks. REWE also offers a full array of beer, wine and liquor. The Hotel Hirsch staff is very friendly and we got to meet one of the family-owners. They have free wifi too. I highly recommend Hotel Hirsch as your Fussen base camp for castle hopping! I would do it again!

Yelp
We spent 3 nights at Hotel Hirsch and enjoyed it very much. We opted for one of the theme rooms which gives you a seating area in addition to your bed. The room was very comfortable. The room comes with an incredible breakfast buffet down in the restaurant area. The options were numerous and tasty. We also spent an evening in the snug bar and found it hospitable and filled with locals. The location is excellent giving you access to the mail road and the entrance to the old part of town. There is a grocery store across the alley.

Yelp
My husband and I traveled to Fuessen with another couple in late September. We arrived after a long day of travel via the train from Munich. The hotel is very centrally located, an easy walk from the train station, even with luggage. We were warmly welcomed by the staff at Hotel Hirsch, and continued to receive superior service throughout our three night stay. The staff makes an effort to know everyone staying at their hotel and really make people feel at home. Our rooms were unique, clean and comfortable. The Haribo gummy candies on our pillows were an adorable touch! The views from our room and the rooftop deck were spectacular. The location of the hotel left nothing to be desired, as you could walk anywhere in town, easily. I'd highly reccomend Hotel Hirsch to anyone wanting to spend some time in the Bavaria area.
