We stayed in the family suite and whilst the room is well decorated and equipped with a lovely bathroom and jacuzzi, I don't recommend staying here with young kids. The bedrooms had very thin shutters which let in a lot of light and there are no curtains. Even at night, it lets in a lot of light and at sunrise the rooms is extremely bright so our kids did not sleep well. Furthermore, they did not provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms. It's a minor point, but with temperatures of 35C and after a long day of travel, we expected this at a minimum. Overall, it was sisappointing for a 4 star hotel and given the price-point.

It is an old historic building that has been renovated to a very high standard into a very comfortable, interesting modern small hotel. The décor incorporates the original features of the building into a really classy environment and must have taken the efforts of a very imaginative and competent interior designer and builders to achieve the results. By far the most comfortable bed of the five hotels we stayed at on our trip, in a relatively spacious well-equipped room with state-of-the-art shower. A good breakfast rounded off the stay. The hotel is about a minute from the cathedral and anywhere in the old city with many restaurants and historic sites is within a 15 minute walk.

We had only one night in Girona from a longer visit to Barcelona We took the high speed train , only 38 minutes , and walked to this lovely old hotel Located within a stones throw of the magnificent cathedral, it’s small, incredibly homely, and steeped in old world charm. We went to 4 th floor to get incredible views of the cathedral and across the city On arrival it took a little while to complete the paperwork but then the owner spend a good 10 minutes with a map pointing out a good way to see all of the sights. He was very helpful and accommodating. As it’s up near the cathedral, there was no one about later in the evening and we had a very peaceful nights sleep. We took an excellent breakfast there in the morning Would absolutely recommend this place !

If I got the option, I would give this Hotel 10 stars! Wonderful service. Great Bed/bathroom. It is located in the middle of Historic Girona and near great shops/restaurants. We are definitely coming back here again when we come to Girona!!

I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. You feel like you're in a modern medieval place—unique design, cozy atmosphere, and great service. A perfect blend of old charm and comfort. I fully recommend!

Location location location. Steps from the main Cathedral and central to all that matters. Beautiful renovated rooms. Bathroom and shower were amazing. City walls just steps away.

Had a really great stay here, Xabi and Alba the owners were lovely and very hospitable. The hotel is extremely clean and really nicely done with it being set in a fantastic historic building, once in the rooms it is very quiet so had a great nights sleep. Also a short walk to all amenities in the town centre. The breakfast is great with a fresh and good quality selection. Would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

A lovely place to stay in the centre of Girona. Great family hotel. The big hill is worth the effort 😀

Yelp
The best inner-old town hotel of Gerona situated next to the main church in the very heart of everything!! Fabulous rooms, fair priced! Don't miss it.... The owner manages the hotel as well; his name is Xavier!!

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel built on the original stone foundation with tons of modern amenities. Situated in the heart of the old hilltop city center just a stones throw away from the cathedral and more importantly my cycling tour company. Xavier runs the place with his mother and attends to the cycling crowd. There's the primary hotel section (4floors) and an adjacent apartment. The rooms are tastefully decorated with lots of heating and extra comforters for it can get pretty chilly inside a building like this. They are working to expand the dinning area to support larger buffets for the peak seasons but I find the coziness my to my liking. They serve typical Catalian hot breakfast that are miles (sorry, kilometers) better than hotels I've stayed with in Barcelona. If you're staying in Girona, you can't go wrong with the Historic unless you hate walking up hill. This is a must for a memorable visit to this ancient city.

Yelp
My lady and I spent one night here in March of 2012 and wish it could have been a week...located in the Jewish quarter, with a Cathedral to the left of it and a Castle and the Arab Baths behind it the romantic aspect of it was incredible...The innkeeper who check us in was this sweet little lady who spoke very little English..What we did get from her as she gently caressed the stone wall in the lobby was that it has been in her family for 900 years. There was a light rain that evening and the cobble stone streets were glistening in the lamplight....the rooms were a mixture of ancient architecture and modern conveniences,"We stayed in the Flies room, the view was great, the bed comfortable...the only thing I would have like is a shower...it had a bathtub with a spraywand, BUT that was a very small sacrifice for such a nice place" . The staff was very helpful despite the language barrier. In other words if you want to send a VERY romantic week or weekend with that special person in your life then this is the perfect place to stay.the only reason I dont give it more stars is it only goes up to 5 ;-)
