This restored hotel is prettier than the photos. It's not far from the cathedral, making it towards the top of Girona. We liked the security access at the front door and were greeted well by the front desk. |The rooms are spacious and clean. I had asked for a fixed shower head, not handheld, but did not get one. |Overall, a very nice stay.

This hotel is definitely worth a stay if going to Girona. It is based in the old town 150 yards from the cathedral on the same level. You will not hear the bells when they chime.|From placa do independence is less than a 20 minute walk down the cathedral steps going right takes you to the Arab museum and the other church.|The room was very comfortable and spacious and well cleaned everyday.|Complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates.|The bed was very comfortable and the room is relatively quiet when the windows are closed and provide full darkness from the light. The street below does not have much traffic but if you sleep with the windows the narrow street makes it echo.|Breakfast was continental style with a full selection of fruits and cheese, yogurts and cereals are available. Selection of breads and cakes. Fried or scrambled eggs and bacon.|Coffee selections are available from a machine

We were delighted to find this Boutique Hotel in the Old Town. Its family ran and everyone is warm and welcoming. The Hotel is an old building which has been restored with great love, its just beautiful and so carefully done. Our room was a good size, wardrobe, safe, TV, big comfortable bed. Large EnSuite Bathroom with really big Shower, lots of hot water, toiletries supplied. There is a terrace on the roof with good views of the Cathedral and over the city. Breakfast was Continental with fresh orange juice, nice yoghurts and fruit, cheeses, breads and also scrambled eggs and bacon. The hotel also held our baggage for us the next day so we could sightsee unencumbered. Great Value for money, Spotlessly clean and very quiet.

A gem of a hotel, not far from the cathedral, a beautiful old building. The owners have clearly taken a lot of time to source tasteful items to complement the architecture. The beds are super comfortable, it's very quiet and the staff members are super helpful and accommodating. Really glad we had the opportunity to stay here.

What is greeted by a lovely lady and her daughter who are very helpful and friendly and showed us to our room. All I can say about the room as wow bed was covered with rose petals a bottle of red wine glasses a small box of chocolates the bathroom was incredible with an amazing shower with rainforest side Jetze when we went downstairs the lady introduced me to her brother and his wife. We had a long conversation and they were really nice. The decor of the hotel and the general feeling was amazing breakfast was good with a nice choice of different things. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a beautiful old hotel in the historic centre of Girona. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that it is right next to the cathedral whose bell chimes every quarter hour all night. Not great if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, recommended.

An absolute gem. Quiet location and superb attention to detail, enhancing the original building. Great beds and large bathroom. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into travellers’ needs. It is very near the cathedral. Highly recommend

It is an old historic building that has been renovated to a very high standard into a very comfortable, interesting modern small hotel. The décor incorporates the original features of the building into a really classy environment and must have taken the efforts of a very imaginative and competent interior designer and builders to achieve the results. By far the most comfortable bed of the five hotels we stayed at on our trip, in a relatively spacious well-equipped room with state-of-the-art shower. A good breakfast rounded off the stay. The hotel is about a minute from the cathedral and anywhere in the old city with many restaurants and historic sites is within a 15 minute walk.

Yelp
The best inner-old town hotel of Gerona situated next to the main church in the very heart of everything!! Fabulous rooms, fair priced! Don't miss it.... The owner manages the hotel as well; his name is Xavier!!

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel built on the original stone foundation with tons of modern amenities. Situated in the heart of the old hilltop city center just a stones throw away from the cathedral and more importantly my cycling tour company. Xavier runs the place with his mother and attends to the cycling crowd. There's the primary hotel section (4floors) and an adjacent apartment. The rooms are tastefully decorated with lots of heating and extra comforters for it can get pretty chilly inside a building like this. They are working to expand the dinning area to support larger buffets for the peak seasons but I find the coziness my to my liking. They serve typical Catalian hot breakfast that are miles (sorry, kilometers) better than hotels I've stayed with in Barcelona. If you're staying in Girona, you can't go wrong with the Historic unless you hate walking up hill. This is a must for a memorable visit to this ancient city.

Yelp
My lady and I spent one night here in March of 2012 and wish it could have been a week...located in the Jewish quarter, with a Cathedral to the left of it and a Castle and the Arab Baths behind it the romantic aspect of it was incredible...The innkeeper who check us in was this sweet little lady who spoke very little English..What we did get from her as she gently caressed the stone wall in the lobby was that it has been in her family for 900 years. There was a light rain that evening and the cobble stone streets were glistening in the lamplight....the rooms were a mixture of ancient architecture and modern conveniences,"We stayed in the Flies room, the view was great, the bed comfortable...the only thing I would have like is a shower...it had a bathtub with a spraywand, BUT that was a very small sacrifice for such a nice place" . The staff was very helpful despite the language barrier. In other words if you want to send a VERY romantic week or weekend with that special person in your life then this is the perfect place to stay.the only reason I dont give it more stars is it only goes up to 5 ;-)
