Fantastic hotel with a unic host couple, always helpful and a small talk. Placed in the small city Ebensee surrounded by mountains, near to natur and experience. There is a very nice garden, pool area and sauna. Perfect rooms with everything. The restaurant that is placed next to the hotel has fantastic atmosphere and good food and drinks. The locals is eating here 4 days in paradise.

They offer a complimentary shuttle to downtown Ebensee and to the train station. It’s not a bad walking distance to either but is just far enough away to feel a bit inconvenient. The hotel was beautiful and immaculate. Highly recommend for a relaxing get away

A great hotel for a family vacation in a beautiful setting. The rooms are spacious, there is an indoor pool, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The lake is within walking distance, and it's not far from the city center or the cable car station. Right next door, there is a wonderful restaurant with a spacious garden and a children's playground, so we didn't lack anything during our stay

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Hochsteg Gütl. The establishment is well run by a very friendly and warm family. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and our host ensured that we had all required information. The room was exactly as described and a very comfortable bed. Every morning we were treated to a very scrumptious breakfast prepared by the host themselves. After a long day of activities we could relax at the indoor pool which was great. The family also owns and manages the restaurant that is right next to the guesthouse where they serve food of very good quality. The restaurant was full of patrons almost every night (Mondays and Tuesdays are rest days, so restaurant is closed). The staff at the restaurant was also very friendly, warm and attentive. The host also came to check up on us from time to time. All in all we had a very good experience staying (and eating) at Hotel Hochsteg Gütl. We will definitely be back when visiting the region. We highly recommend Hotel Hochsteg Gütl.

Loved the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the entire property, and the delicious breakfast spread. Coffee/tea and biscuits were also served in the afternoon. The swimming pool and the sauna were both in excellent condition; the temperature of the water in the pool was perfect! Bathing towels, bathrobes, and slippers were provided at no cost. The decoration in the common areas was really charming and befitting the holiday season. Loved the stunning view of the mountains from our window! Plenty of wonderful hiking spots within a short driving distance. The restaurant next door - which is run by the same people as the hotel - had amazing Austrian-style dinner food.

This is a very modern, recently built hotel that has that traditional family run hotel vibe that Austria is famous for. We stayed here as part of a luxury bike trip through the Salzburg lakes. This was the best hotel of the six luxury hotel/castles we stayed in. The rooms were quite large as were the bathrooms and each one had a very nice balcony. The spa area was quite nice and very clean. The views were also quite spectacular. I would highly recommend this hotel. It also has a very nice restaurant which is also owned and run by the same family next door.
