The 3.5 star review this hotel averages is generous. Upon check in your are sent off to another building across the parking lot and the rooms can be best described as college/university dorm rooms. Mold on the walls and windows, bathroom fit for a prison (or college dorm room). Breakfast was ok at best. The only reason we gave this a 2 out of 5 is the restaurant dinner we had...it was quickly prepared and well done. We were glad to leave after one night there...it was the low point of our 10 day trip in Iceland. Avoid this hotel.

The hotel looks OK from the outside, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The rooms are extremely small and feel cramped, with bathrooms that are in poor condition and have a noticeable mold smell. There were no basic amenities — no glasses, no coffee, and the heating didn’t seem to work properly. there are no drapes, and if you are unfortunate enough to stay on the first floor, anyone can have a good look inside your room.||For the price, I expected at least a clean, comfortable room with working facilities, but the experience fell far short. I also hope that Hofn would be a lovely town, but I’d recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation, and most importantly for dinner.

This hotel was in a great location. The guy that checked us in was exceptionally nice, we would never expect anyone to be so helpful. He was assisting people with their large suitcases and showing us where to park. |Awesome views from the comfortable indoor/outdoor seating areas. |The breakfast was really good. They had hot food, good scrambled eggs and coffee. |Definitely recommend the rooms here in Höfn.

I went there for the Restaurant as everything was full. And I was very satisfied, the staff was very friendly, the food pretty good - I tried the Burger and it was fresh and the meat tasted great. Also dessert and salad was delightful. I can recommend the Restaurant - I was not a hotel guest, only in the Restaurant.

Se stayed one night on a group tour. Very disappointed with our twin room which was extrememly cramped. Odd bedside tables - one metal and the other a desk. Above the desk was a shelf with a kettle so wouldn't advise boiling kettle while in bed as right by your head.|Very poor bathroom. Door squeaked (not good for nighttime visits!) and dreadful lighting, smelt and tatty. Had a very long shower curtain which could be a trip hazard. Only a little storage space, but we were living out of suitcases so didn't bother us. We had dinner in the hotel as a group and the food was very good.|Beautiful scenery nearby. I think there is very little in this area, so this is probably the best hotel around. Ok for short stays but not for any length of time.

lovely hotel in a welcoming village! staff were very friendly. the only downside was that there is no lift but the rooms were well equipped and had very comfy beds! the views around were gorgeous and I would definitely recommend staying here!

🏨 Stayed here during our 9-day / 7-hotel tour of Iceland — this hotel ranks as our least favourite. | Upon arrival, we were told there was no lift — and the receptionist actually laughed with sarcasm 😒.| ☕ The room featured paper coffee cups, which felt more budget than boutique, and the kettle cord was too short to reach the plug socket—meaning we had to boil water on the floor. Not exactly the cozy setup we’d hoped for.| 🛏️ Even though our room was one of the larger ones, it felt awkwardly cramped. A couple of bathrobes were hung up to give the illusion of luxury, but it didn’t quite land. 🍳 Breakfast was the hotel’s saving grace — tasty, and a much-needed to start the day
