This hotel was in a great location. The guy that checked us in was exceptionally nice, we would never expect anyone to be so helpful. He was assisting people with their large suitcases and showing us where to park. |Awesome views from the comfortable indoor/outdoor seating areas. |The breakfast was really good. They had hot food, good scrambled eggs and coffee. |Definitely recommend the rooms here in Höfn.

This is a very nice, modern hotel in a lovely village. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities. Our breakfast buffet was amazing including gluten-free options. Nice to have an elevator to upper floor. Complimentary parking. Very pleasant staff.

Hotel is located close to different restaurants and by the water. The receptionist came out to make sure our room was in the hotel itself or in a different building. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was also great. I think it had also a good variety of foods.

Delightful staff particularly reception. Rooms were clean. Nice mushroom soup for dinner. Breakfast was OK. The smallest hotel room in Iceland. A double room which fits a bed, 1 chair (for 2 people), 2 bags and nothing else. Tiny old bathroom with a shower curtain which doesn’t keep water in shower stall. Curtains don’t block out midnight Sun. Not recommended 3/5

Nice accomodations. The shower curtain only closed a little more than halfway on the 2 foot by 2 foot shower so 80% of the bathroom floor gets wet. If getting a first floor room for the need to not go up steps (no elevator), be warned that it appears that isn't possible. It looks like you must go up a half floor and then down the other side when carrying luggage also.

We checked in at 11 pm and checked out 9 am on the next day. the room was quite unpleasant. It had a pungent odour, there was no hot water in the shower and the sink was clogging. There were cracks all over the wall and dirt/dust next to the bedside. For the money I payed it was not at all what I expected. I have contacted the property about this and no one has responded for the past 2 weeks.

Note: I did not stay here. Leaving a positive review for their customer service. My partner and I realized we accidentally booked the wrong dates for our stay and had booked a non-refundable reservation (yikes!). We reached out to the Customer Service team at Hotel Hofn explaining our situation, and since there were no rooms available for our intended dates, Monica from Hotel Hofn offered to fully refund us because we booked directly with them. Really appreciate her going above and beyond to refund us despite booking a non-refundable reservation. Will try to stay here next time we’re in Iceland!

Really good location just minutes from the center and towns harbor, wonderful views over the ocean and the mountains. Rooms were really comfortable, the only thing that could be improved were the sinks in the bathrooms which we found a bit small and inconvenient to use but other than that - good experience overall. For additional 2.500 isk per person there’s breakfast available.
