Hotel Hohenstauffen

We stayed for 1 night and couldn't really ask for more. They were so friendly, helpful and informative. They printed out transport passes. They had a really comfy four poster bed and lovely breakfast. In the evening you can sit in their Baroque room and put music on the free jukebox whilst drinking cut price drinks (5-7pm happy 'hour'). It's a family run place with lots of nice touches. Well worth a stay!

About 500meters walk from Salzburg station.Very kindly staffs. A bit old decorated room but everything's well maintained. Simply breakfast. Mobility card are provided to all guests for transportation in Salzburg area,and can also take the bus no.150 to Bad ischl for free.

I stayed 7 nights at hotel Hohenstaufen in Salzburg, over Christmas. I had a great time thanks to the wonderful staff. Everything was top class. I can highly recommend the hotel and I will definitely stay there again. Maia Pearce England

Hotel Hohenstauffen Salzburg. Family of five. Two rooms. Zero stress. • Staff deserve a knighthood. • Warm welcome. Proper smiles. Not the polite but distant kind. • Handed us a map with a self guided walking tour. Salzburg on easy mode. • Stayed just before New Year. Fresh snow. Postcard stuff. • Happy hour drinks. Proof that Austrians understand happiness. • Solid advice on local restaurants. Every tip hit the mark. • Location nails it. Close enough to stroll. Far enough to sleep. • A golden oldie. In a good way. Like a well tuned Holden parked neatly in the Alps. • Beds are on the Austrian side of compact. If you are over 6 foot, expect a polite bend at the knees or a strategic diagonal sleep. Think alpine efficiency, not outback sprawl. Australian verdict. Comfortable. Honest. No pretentious nonsense. More Mozart than techno. More gemütlich than glossy. Why not 5 stars? Because perfection needs a reason to come back. Final score. 4.5 stars. Sehr gut, mate.

A very cosy, classically styled, and well maintained hotel next to the train station and bus hub, with free parking! My room was incredibly comfortable with a supportive bed, good heating, and light. The staff were the highlight - they were very friendly and helpful with regards to what to see in town, and they made my stay very enjoyable. A recommend from me if you're in town!

Great hotel! We loved our stay. The location was excellent, about a 12 minute walk to old town Salzburg. Plenty of parking. Wonderful breakfast. The rooms were very spacious. The staff was very helpful too.

A perfect stay in Salzburg. Just a 3-minute walk from the train station and most bus lines. The staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast is simple but has everything you need. Highly recommended.

The people at the reception were friendly. The location was easy to navigate through the city. The breakfast was okey. However, my room experience was unpleasant. As far as, I looked at the photos at Google and Booking, I couldnt see the photo of the room. At one corner of the room, there were shower cabin and sink. This wasn't good and I had to open my windows to ventilate the room. If they give this room to people, people should have a chance to see photos before reservation Also, there was a cushion between the wall and the bed and that cushion was not clean enough. There were stains.

Fantastic! Quiet stay in Salzburg - tons of history and charm in this establishment. Located a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A genuine hands-on approach (as opposed to chain hotels who sometimes don't seem to care about their guests). The staff is very welcoming, kind, and helpful. I will for sure stay here again if I'm back in Salzburg! Thank you for such a nice stay.

I stayed here for one night with a friend in late December 2018. Most hotels in the area seemed to be of the same quality (ie. on the older side). We got a twin bed room - the bed was extremely comfortable and I had one of the best sleeps of my trip. Street was quiet though I did keep the window closed. Bathroom was clean and relatively large. Wifi signal was strong. Breakfast included bread, cheese, meats, yogurts, juices and small pastries - more than I was expecting. Check-in was easy. Though hotel was on the older side, the bed and bathroom didn't feel that way. It was easy enough to walk from the Salzburg train station to the hotel, nearly impossible to get lost!

I stay here every time I'm in Salzburg and love it. They have a great breakfast and it's just a short walk from the train and center of Salzburg.
