Hotel Holy Himalaya

Friendly staff and great location. Stayed here for a few nights both before and after a recent trekking trip. Rooms were clean, and the facilities were good. Location is just behind the main shopping area with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. 2-3mins walk to small local supermarket and chemist plus many local restaurants. Rooms are not super quiet as all the floors are tile but not too bad. Internet in rooms is average at best but in reception area connection is good. Good breakfast also.

Our agent booked us a stay at the Holy Himalaya when our flight was cancelled. Our stay was good and the hotel is in a very good location. The bathroom was a little small and we struggled to get hot water. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed being able to have tea or coffee in the shared space downstairs. Staff were very helpful, too.

Our group stayed in the hotel for 1 night before and after our trek. There are different types of rooms in the hotel. Overall rooms and bathrooms are good. A few rooms do not have handy power points for charging. The location of the hotel is very good, there are many cafes and market on walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel is good. We left some of our luggage in the hotel before going on our trek, and later got it back. No hot water kettle in the rooms, they do serve complimentary tea / coffee in the receiption area.

Great rooms in a great location in central Thamel but still just off the main street so its relatively quiet and calm. Very helpful staff and a nice breakfast buffet to fuel the day. The rooms were spacious so there was plenty of room to unpack and repack at the beginning and end of a trip. Highly recommend!
