Hotel Horto Convento Firenze

We had an amazing stay here. The building and rooms were beautiful. The morning breakfasts were always tasty. And the staff was so kind and accommodating. I also need to mention that their bartender Adam was the best bartender I've ever had. Great drinks, but even better company. I recommend this place to anyone that will listen. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The rooms were really nice- clean, quiet, and overall very peaceful. The bed was comfortable, I especially loved the linens. The staff were kind, helpful, and efficient. We would come and go from the hotel while sightseeing in the more touristy parts of Florence, and it seemed like it was a different receptionist each time, yet they were all equally welcoming. Finally, the breakfast was really wonderful with a lot of variety of foods and drinks. Overall a beautiful and calming hotel to stay at while in Florence.

Beautiful and classy hotel in the Santo Spirito neighborhood of Florence. We had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Horto Convento. It was a big plus for us that this hotel is not in the more touristy parts of town, since we were able to come back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing and just relax. Additionally, there is a lot to explore in the direct vicinity around the hotel: a ton of tasty restaurants, Piazza Santo Spirito, and charming streets and other neighborhood amenities. ||We found the staff at the hotel to be welcoming and to always great us with a smile and a "buongiorno / buonaserra". Special mention for Cherish: she was so welcoming on our first day and gave us a ton of good restaurant / gelato recommendations. We ended up going to almost all of the restaurants she recommended, and those were some of the best lunches / dinners / gelato we had during our 11-day journey in Italy.

We had a wonderful stay as a young family (traveling with a four month old). The room was beautiful; the service incredible (especially reception and breakfast staff), everything was lovely and clean. We loved that it was a little away from the touristy bits, meaning we had the choice of going into it or staying out, but all walking distance even with a travel pram and carrier (bring both i'd say). If you were to be nit picky; yes the insulation could be better, but it didnt disturb us. Overall we absolutely adored this hotel and would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you!

So here is the real insights of this hotel. It is a very quite and a nice property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar tender makes amazing coctails and is makes very elite service. The worst part of this hotel is that: if you plan to stay in a double room ( 2 people sharing the same bed ) I highly recommend to choose another hotel. The bed is super small, you will be sleepless all night from how uncomfortable it is. Another problem is that the hotel is full os mosquitos. And they know this, they will provide some additional mosquitos killers in the room but its not enough because if you open the window during the night your room will be full of mosquitoes again. And the air conditioner? Its switched off!! You can not turn it on. So, for this reasons l will never be back at this beautiful property.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It’s tucked away from the hustle bustle of the main part of Florence. The lobby and breakfast rooms are beautifully furnished and the breakfast is excellent. The lobby bar is super nice and so is the bartender. The hotel grounds are lovely. I look forward to returning there often.

Hotel Convento is located in a former monastery on a large property in an authentic Florence neighborhood. Surrounded by excellent restaurants, shops, and cafes, we found more locals than tourists. Yet it is only about a 15 minute walk along the charming streets to Pointe Vecchio. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast Buffett is quite good. We would stay here again without hesitation. It was nice to be away from the crowds yet close enough to easily walk anywhere in this city’s gorgeous historic centre.

The staff were really friendly and helpful during our quick, overnight stop in Firenze. Arranged to-go breakfast and a taxi service for us. We crossed 3 different shifts of staff to make our arrangements and nothing was lost. Each person we worked with was up to date on our needs and very helpful. The beds were much stiffer than is good for my back, but everything was clean and the property is really charming. Overall, a great place to stay.
