This hotel is fabulous! Rooms are very spacious and immaculate. Staff are excellent and our thanks to John and Adrian on the roof bar. Amazing views of the church and mountain from the roof pool and bar, especially at night. Breakfast is best in the walkway courtyard, lovely setting. Apologies to the lady who served us for forgetting your name but you were outstanding. Cannot fault this place. Great location for all the local bars and restaurants.

What more can I say that's not already been said? ||The staff are absolutely wonderful and cannot do enough for you.||Cava on arrival then a complimentary bottle of red with the most lovely message delivered to my room. ||My room had everything you needed, a bath as well as the shower (love a bath!), coffee machine, fridge, free safe. My only criticism is that it was a little dark so you had to keep the lamps on. It overlooked a busy pedestrian street with restaurants and was very noisy later at night. Take earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me, mine did the trick. ||The Aircon was an issue when I stayed, it wasn't working properly and went up so the room was very hot. They had it sorted as soon as possible and were very apologetic about it. When I checked out they removed £145 from my bill for the inconvenience, something I wasn't expecting!||I had a fabulous massage with Louis, well worth treating yourself to. I also used the spa pool a few times, up on the top floor. It's not dated as someone else reported. It's clean, warm and functional. Very enjoyable to use.||The hotel is in a really good area, walking around gets you to a lot of great places. You can get a map at reception and you will be advised on places to go and the best places to eat.||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved Alicante. I am hoping to come back again to visit the places I didn't get to this time. I would definitely use this hotel again!||Well done to all the staff - every single one of them were friendly and professional. Thank you!

Recently stayed at Hospes Amerigo, with a large group of 36 of us. I was absolutely blown away by this Hotel, in particular the service we received. Cristina, Rocio, and all of the team could not do enough for us and made our trip just perfect. Gorgeous spacious bright rooms. Beautiful Reception that had Hospes signature smell which is divine. Great location too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Hotel to anyone. Look forward to staying again soon.

Greeted at the hotel with a glass of cava, the room wasn’t ready but they took our luggage whilst we went off to explore. A few issues on the first night but were sorted out the following day. Rooms immaculate, roof top pool and bar a great sun trap away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was spot on, other reviews commenting about the coffee machine queues seemed harsh as only had to wait a minute . Fantastic location everything to see is within 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service in a central location. My room was comfortable but the bathroom was actually too big for my taste and directly opposite the door to the room without the privacy one expects if sharing a room. Also lacking in storage for clothing considering how large the space was. Service and aesthetics made up for it and I loved the adjoining restaurant and courtyard.

Yelp
One of only a handful of 5 star hotels in Alicante, this exemplary property is right in the action. Surrounded by a plethora of outstanding bars, nightclubs and eateries festering local favorites, tapas, middle eastern, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. The marina across the main road makes for a lovely stroll in the evenings. Even the happening Marmarela and Ocean Race Museum is just 10 minute walk away. Smartly designed rooms with old world architectural accents throughout juxtaposed with modern practicality and efficiency. Exemplary hospitality staff who go out of their way to care well for you. Stunning view of the "face of the moor" castle from the rooftop pool and bar.

Yelp
This was a great choice to stay a night or two in Alicante. It was very charming and cute - our room had lovely balconies that you could step out of and see the street, and buildings across! The location was quite nice, walking distance pretty much everywhere, including restaurants, and even the beach in Alicante. It had a nice rooftop pool (pictures really don't do it justice) with a VIEW of the cathedral and mountain!!! Not only that, but it had a retractable ceiling, which was pretty awesome. There were lots of lounge chairs, both inside the pool area, and outside on the regular balcony, with a bar too. Although the room was very charming, there were some details I wasn't too fond of. The bed for instance was too soft, and made my back hurt. The air conditioning didn't work, but we were fine with open windows (good breeze at night). The mini fridge was full of items, so we weren't able to place our own personal items in the fridge. Also, the sinks & shower all had trouble draining. Lastly, just FYI, on Sundays Alicante has slow streets, where cars cannot drive through. The hotel is located on one of these slow streets - I wish they gave us a heads up ahead of time, as we kept driving and driving around. I wish they told us that we could have asked the police officers to move the railings for us to get to our hotel. Overall though, I did enjoy the hotel, and it was perfect for our 1 night stay in Alicante!

Yelp
By far the best hotel in Alicante. Yes, it's a little pricey but the spa, roof top pool and restaurant make up for it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and Jonas really made our time worthwhile. The rooms are luxurious and are very well kept. We had a marina view which was lovely. Our only issue was the air freshener in the lobby. It wasn't pleasant and very over powering.

Yelp
Fantastic facility with a phenomenal staff that close to beaches, dinning, the marina, the casino, and the old fort. The views aren't great, and this is true for pretty much every place that isn't beach front. With that said, a great spot to lay your head and expect lore Alicante.

Yelp
Alicante's #1 on tripadvisor.com would probably be the best reason to book this place. The hotel is a beautiful building, well located in the midst of all the action, couple of minutes away from all the best restaurants and a short walk away from the beach. There are fabulous restaurants in the area, and the little cava bar in the hotel is pretty damn good too. The rooms are super stylish. Of course, this is no Hyatt or Mandarin Oriental, although it is supposed to be a five star hotel. An electric kettle is not available in the room, although it is provided on request. There is a gym and a pool on one of the floors, which has an attached terrace/balcony overlooking the beach. However, the gym is not the best thing about the hotel. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room, and although somewhat basic, it was fresh and felt quite fulfilling. Overall, highly recommended!

Yelp
Older building but huge rooms. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect location to explore the city, walk the beach, and see the historical sights. Would definitely stay here again. Roof top bar is also nice even though there are not any real views.

Yelp
I stayed at Amerigo in May 2015 with my husband and parents. The staff is extremely well trained in 5 star service. We were provided excellent service at every turn. The front desk staff called and arranged a private tennis lesson for my husband. They made several great restaurant recommendations. Rooms are very large and well appointed. The building is beautiful old stone with modern finishes. Close to the beach. Excellent value for the money.

Yelp
Love this hotel. For a 5 star hotel the rooms are incredibly well priced. We stayed a couple nights in a junior suite and a couple of nights in a standard room. Both were excellent. The hotel is situated in an ideal spot, right between the beach and the old town. Best of all is the staff, who are really helpful and friendly. We got a lovely welcome by name every time we walked into the reception which made us really feel pleased to be staying there. We didn't try the michelin starred restaurant this time but there is also a more casual restaurant where the tapas are imaginative and delicious. Already planning my next trip.
