Hotel Hotel Goliath Am Dom Regensburg

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a perfect Old Town location. We were greeted by the friendly staff in the beautifully decorated lobby. Prettiest Christmas tree I ever seen. Our roomy top floor chamber had a lot of personality, along with beautiful views of the rooftops of Regensburg, bathrobes and slippers, heated towel rack, small fridge and coffee maker. A kettle for hot water would have been a nice addition. Thank you for green practices, such as water and glass containers, and a delicious breakfast. Memorable stay in beautiful Old Town.

Location is five stars, but I give the room a one star. The location of the hotel Goliath is close to Christmas markets and many restaurants and cafés. Lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we found the hotel to be very clean and the wait staff hospitable. The front desk attendant did not tell us about the rooftop terrace, but I later learned of it through another person‘s review. We stayed one night prior to our Viking Christmas market cruise on the Danube River. The room was priced at € 275. For that price, it did not feel like a 4-Star hotel. I did not expect the bathroom to have a window from the actual shower into the bedroom. So if you’re expecting any privacy while you’re taking a shower or using the restroom, you might think twice about booking here. There should be a low light or a nightlight installed in the bathroom because using the restroom at night requires all the lights in the bathroom to be on which shines through the window from the bathroom into the room and wakes others who are sleeping. There’s really no reason for the window to be in the shower.

Where celebrities stay. Very nice morning breakfast service and amazing coffees. Bernhardt is the ultimate concierge and is saught out by returning guests. He knows everything!

This is a wonderfully magic boutique hotel in an incredible location. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The only reason I didn’t rate the room 5 stars is because it was a bit dated and felt pretty sterile in design. I would absolutely stay here again though. The lobby is truly beautiful and well decorated. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

Beautifully situated hotel in the center of town near the river and all shopping/restaurants. Staff was all incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to check in early without hesitation. Room was clean, modern, and well equipped. Breakfast offered a typical European breakfast spread. All high quality items. Decor is unique and sophisticated. Great views of the city from the 4th floor! Would recommend and return! Service is impeccable.

We stayed at the Goliath Hotel in Regensburg for two nights this August, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, especially for a hotel that markets itself as five-star. The most noticeable shortcomings were evident at breakfast. Despite calling ahead to request gluten-free bread for my husband, who has an allergy, we were informed on the first morning that they had run out. This was incredibly disappointing and, frankly, a first in our many years of traveling. Additionally, we were never provided with any breakfast menus, which added to the overall sense of disorganization.||The hotel’s decor also leaves much to be desired. While not entirely unpleasant, the rooms felt outdated, lacking the modern touch you'd expect from a high-end establishment. The overall ambiance did not match the luxury suggested by the hotel's rating.||In retrospect, the price we paid should have been a warning that this is not a true five-star hotel. At best, it aligns more with a three-star experience. If you're looking for genuine luxury in Regensburg, I would recommend exploring other options.

Just enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Goliath am Dom. Located an easy 15 minute walk from the train stage and in a great location to visit all the major sites in Regensburg. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and there are several excellent restaurants for dinner nearby. The spa was much enjoyed after a long day of sightseeing.

Large, beautiful quiet room overlooking the pretty streets of Regensburg, wonderful staff, great location in the middle of the old town. Rates were good. Nice bathrooms, amenities, bedding. We would happily stay here again. Regensburg itself, is also charming. You can see everything you need to see on foot. Plenty of places to eat, shop and see.

Wanted to stay there. We really did - all 23 of us. Called to get a rate, were asked to email - emailed for times - to eventually receive a response saying "your email went to spam - why didn't you call us if it was so important to you". No apology - now it's all our fault. Dear people at the Hotel Goliath am Dom, you may have a beautiful hotel, but you have an inacceptable attitude. We pass. With thanks.

Stayed at David Hotel which is the little brother hotel to the Goliath. David Hotel is around the corner from Goliath so it is nearby the city restaurants, pubs and shopping stores. David Hotel over looks the riverbed. There is no front desk or cafe at David Hotel but you can go to the Goliath hotel for breakfast in the morning and food is price fair though only 3 options for food besides the buffet they have open. The rooms at David Hotel are wood floors with a solid wood door. Beds were very comfortable compared to the Goliath beds that I stayed in a couple years back WiFi was ok but kept knocking me off from time to time. Lastly, the radiator was located in the bathroom areas so only the restroom got warm. The rest of the room was cold at night in January. Rooms were priced fair for a5 night stay at €455.
