Hotel htop Palm Beach & SPA

We stayed at the hotel off-peak - so cannot speak for high season - but we had a genuinely lovely time. It's a smaller hotel, which suited us - the staff were friendly, rooms were cleaned daily and there was absolutely tons of food (we went half board, breakfast and dinner). There was a pool, outdoor and indoor whirlpools, sauna and steam room which we had no trouble accessing. Our basic room was fine - comfortable beds, decent shower (if a little variable in temperature). There's a supermarket literally next door. The hotel is 10 minutes from the nearest beach and about 20 minutes from the bright lights of Lloret proper, so it's very convenient.||Yes, the room and bathroom were quite dated and needed some TLC; yes the pool was small; yes, the food was canteen-standard; yes, there is a main road outside.||HOWEVER... Everything was clean, we were never unable to get into the pool/sauna/whirly spa because of too many people, and we waddled, completely stuffed, out of that dining area, twice a day. We were never in the room long enough for decor or traffic to make a difference to us.||You get what you pay for, and - IMHO - we got a *total* bargain: I would happily go back. If you want fancier food, a swankier room, fancier plumbing, a quieter location and a bigger pool then, sorry, but you're going to have to put your hand in your wallet: do that, instead of posting an unrealistic review.

This hotel is great, the price was pretty low based on its standard, I really enjoyed the food (we had breakfast and dinner) and there was a lot of choice. The rooms are a bit old, but perfectly clean and they are cleaned every day. The staff was so friendly, they speak well in english, spanish and even polish. SPA is okay, as I am not fan on these types of things i just tried it once. Overall, if you want a good priced hotel and spend your time in costa brava mostly on sightseeing it is just perfect. The bus station is 10 minute walk away and offers bus to Barcelona, Girona, Tossa etc. Strongly recommended.

I loved the facilities that this place provided for the cost; food, bar, spa, pool. I did have an issue with the staff, a specific staff named Marta made me feel really unacceptable like I wasn’t supposed to be there; she would refuse me drinks even though I was paying, when I asked for tap water she said that I had to pay, soon later another staff would pour me a glass out of kindness, as well as just the way she would stare at me whenever I walked past. BUT I’m not going to let one staff member bring down my rating as I loved the room, facilities and the staff were very nice. The food as well is really good for what I spent on this holiday and most of the crowd in the hotel are funny. Cheap and Cheerful!

Roms are old, that is the fact, but not unlivable and staff clean rooms every day unless you tell them otherwise. Staff showed us greater level of hospitality, professionalism and they were so kind. Pool, poolside, spa, hot tub, lobby, restaurant, and whole hotel was unbelievably clean. Food was delicious and there was a lot of food. I mean a lot of food!! Overall hotel was absolutely on their best! Every recommendation from my side 🥃

Lovely staff especially Dean and Raymond! ||We had a great time hotel is nice enough for the price and everything clean - the pool is nice and not busy. ||Food and rooms basic but what do you expect for the good price. ||All in all had a lovely time!!

We were very pleased with our hotel stay for the week we visited Llorotte de Mar. It is well centerised beside everything. Staff are always very friendly & helpful. Food was nice. Bar was lively in the evenings. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Welcome to the 90’s. Brits smoking at pool, sauna that closes at 18h and isn’t hot at opening time and get this!- a beauty pagent. Haha. For the price I paid it’s wonderful. Clean. Balcony and nice pool. Too bad it closes at 19h. I personally like 90’s music - so the pool experience was okay- but the smoking - maybe remove ashtrays so not to encourage every Brit and his cousin to come smoke there. Told me I can leave my bags and still enjoy facilities after 10am checkout. Great location.

When we arrived, we were immediately disappointed by how small everything was. The pool for instance! And the hotel itself. It looked bigger in photos. |The staff were nice upon arrival. But they looked really depressed! The first night was absolutely terrible! I actually wrote a review after that night, to say that if you want sleep. Do not stay here! |The first night there were a group of very loud men on our floor who were banging on everyone’s doors, breaking stuff, shouting and being very loud until 5:30am! |The next morning I went down to ask for a refund and to cancel the rest of our trip. Because it was awful. We were informed that those people had been made to leave, because of how many complaints there were. |They said if we wanted a refund, we’d have to go to booking.com to get it. |As they said the people had left. We decided to stay and see how it went. The second night was actually fine! |And then, other groups arrived and were also very loud and kept banging on our door and walls for the remaining two nights. We stayed for 4 nights in total. 3 out of the 4 were shocking! |The beds were also very hard and uncomfortable. |I would not ever recommend anyone to stay here! |When we left, the gentleman on the desk was very lovely. And it’s not the staff themselves as such. It’s just they clearly let anyone stay and don’t really care if it disrupts the nice guests. |The food was also quite cold most of the time. And all the staff just seemed to be quite down and miserable. If we said hello, they would then perk up. But they wouldn’t ever say hello first. I felt very sad for them. |The lifts up to the 7th floor are tiny! You can barely fit 4 people in. And there is a weight limit too. People kept squeezing in when two of us were already in the tiny lift, where it then clearly went over the weight limit. |The staff cleaned our room each day. They’re brilliant with that. |But the noise is horrendous, and the place has a very depressing vibe! |We then went and stayed at another hotel, and the difference was astounding. The next hotel was spectacular! ||Such a shame. Wouldn’t visit HTOP hotel again.
