The hotel is set in idyllic grounds. Although located in the centre of Elche, near Alicante, you would never know it thanks to the calming oasis of palm trees, beautifully landscaped gardens and pool area. The rooms are all standalone, single-level units accessed via outdoor pathways. They are arranged in short rows rather than stacked, which gives each room a greater sense of privacy and individuality.
The room itself was very spacious, but unfortunately lacked attention to detail in several areas. There was only one bin, located in the bathroom, with none in the main room. The room did not include a kettle, tea or coffee; when we requested these, the kettle arrived without coffee (we were sent milk, tea and sugar, but no coffee, despite specifically requesting it). We also ordered room service and asked for salt, pepper and ketchup, none of which were provided.
The breakfast offering was another disappointment. The images shown in the in-room brochure suggested a more elevated, premium experience, but the reality was a basic, average buffet. For example, pancakes were advertised but not available. As we visited just after Christmas, the room was also very cold on arrival and took a full day to warm up.
Despite paying for the hotel and an additional charge for breakfast, we were also charged a daily parking fee of €13, which felt unnecessary.
On the plus side, the location is excellent and very central. If you can overlook the issues above, this is a pleasant place to stay. However, if you are looking for a truly premium experience, this hotel - despite its attractive setting - may fall short.
