Honestly the best, most chic, and what feels like an undiscovered gem of a hotel. Glorious food, beautiful gardens and all round good vibes. Special thanks to Alba who was so attentive and fabulous (and loves tomato ketchup too). Thank you for a fabulous day

Great place to spend a week or more on the Sth coast. The hotel kitchen & bar turns out fabulous Spanish inspired food if you're dining in the hotel. A car is a must to sample the local kite surfing beaches or the huge choice of restaurants in the Tarifa old town. The Bali of Europe with better food indeed..

⭐ 2/5 I’ve stayed at Hurricane Hotel many times over the years, and I used to love it – especially back when it was a simple two-star hotel. Back then, the value was excellent and the atmosphere felt warm and genuine. Sadly, since the upgrade to four stars, the experience has gone downhill. Expectations rise with the rating, but the hotel no longer meets even my modest expectations. Service feels understaffed and inconsistent, and it’s not enough to just raise the prices and update a few things in the rooms. A special mention to Susanna at reception – she’s amazing and always goes the extra mile for guests. But one person alone can’t carry the weight of a four-star hotel. Management should really visit a proper four-star hotel like Parador in Ronda or Ayamonte to see how it’s done – even simple things like having two staff members at reception at all times make a huge difference. Do NOT book the hamam. It’s poorly maintained and absolutely not worth the money – more like a damp room with some steam. This place still has great potential because of its location and history. I’m sharing this review with genuine hope that the owners take it to heart and bring back the quality and soul that once made Hurricane so special.

We visit every spring, for us it is a great lace to escape to for a few days of relaxing. We enjoy laying around the adults only pool, there are two pools and walks along the beach. Breakfast and food is good and the staff are super friendly.

The Hurricane Hotel enjoys a spectacular location on the sea with beautifully cared for grounds to match. The dinner service in particular is excellent- the grilled meats are beautifully prepared, and the service is excellent. The staff at the hotel is so friendly and welcoming. Everything they do is done with a smile. All in all, this is a place in which many thoughtful details make you feel well cared for. It is a comfortable welcoming place and the value is excellent.

I want to thank wonderful Hurricane hotel staff for sending over our antique walking stick which we had to leave at hotel and they kindly organised delivery of it to England. |Hotel is great and we will definitely come back soon. |Spain is a beautiful country and the area was very clean and safe. Hotel Hurricane 🌀 is the Best! Big Thanks to the staff members Susana and Otman !

The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. Gardens, 2 pools, gym, ocean/beach. Food is amazing and service is outstanding. Staff are so friendly and professional. Fireplace was lite every night in a very cozy lounge. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely come back if we are ever near this area again. Great spot to stay for a day trip to Tangier, Morocco. This is a hidden gem.

Wow,what a stunning place and location .|We loved our special birthday stay.|The service was excellent , ensuring the hotel is calm and restful.|The meals were delicious with assistance with dietary requirements.|Our room was lovely, even though the plumbing was a little tricky. |The pools looked stunning but we would have liked them a little warmer . |We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Hurricane is a small hotel located just outside Tarifa. The hotel is like a little oasis in the dessert and only the luscious green garden and swimming pool are in between you and the beach. Rooms are clean but plain and simple; it's the outdoors that make you wanna be here. Internet is free but only available in the cosy lobby/bar area. Excellent dining and pool area as well as a small beach club like place for drinks and lunch. Good breakfast, very friendly staff. Only downside (or tip/hint/warning) is that the walls are very thin. I won't go into detail about my French neighbors; let's say they must have been struck by the romantic setting ;)
