We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Il Barocco in the heart of Ragusa, Sicily, and it was a truly memorable experience from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and attentive hospitality. Check-in was seamless, and throughout our stay, the team consistently went above and beyond—offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room was quiet, beautifully maintained, and exceptionally comfortable. Every corner of the property is cared for with attention to detail, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. One of the standout highlights was the food. Each morning greeted us with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread and croissants. Breakfast was generous and full of delicious Sicilian flavors, and every dish we tried was fresh, authentic, and artfully prepared. The ravioli, in particular, was unforgettable—some of the best we've ever had. The passion for local cuisine truly shines through. The location couldn’t be better—nestled in the stunning Baroque beauty of Ragusa Ibla, yet calm and restful. It was the ideal base for discovering this enchanting town. Our stay at Hotel Il Barocco made our trip incredibly special. We felt genuinely cared for, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Ragusa.

Our stay at hotel il Barocco was amazing. |Receptionist were all kind and gave us plenty tourist info. |The hotel is nicely refurbished. All wood furniture nicely polished and the room very clean. |The plus of this hotel is the huge and wide breakfast buffet selection. Really you can compare to a brunch. |The only cons was the beds arrangements. |We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids. The Queen was comfortable while the pull out sofa bed was not really fit for 2 kids aged 7 and 9 years old. Other than this all was great. |I really recommend this hotel for your stay in Ibla.

Unexpected great experience with this hotel that offered a very good breakfast with a lot of fruit, cakes and biscuits, ham and cheese; we spent just one night and we also had half board dinner with choice of typical Sicilian courses. Kind staff and very clean room.

We stayed here as part of a group. Our room was lovely, but rather cool and dark, with a tiled floor, so if staying in the cooler months take pyjamas and slippers. There was (plug-in) heating in the room. The shower room fittings looked ancient but worked very well, with a plentiful supply of toiletries and towels replaced regularly. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of freshly prepared fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, some hot food, croissants, warm rolls and bread for toasting. AND a huge array of sweet things. The coffee could have been better, but lots of different teas available with a teapot.|We only had 2 dinners here, neither of which were that special, but the restaurant was always full in the evenings. Staff were helpful, friendly and spoke good English.

The hotel has an air of tradition in its lay-out, decor and provision of facilities that is appropriate to its location in an historical setting. Staff on reception were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our first floor room was a decent size, comfortable and well-furnished. A plentiful served breakfast consisted of a wide range of fruits, cold meats, pastries, biscuits and excellent coffee. Free parking is available near the public gardens a 5 minute walk away, with the hotel's location signposted. All considered this represented a touch of class at a good price.|
