Wonderful hotel located in the Spanish quarter. The rooms were clean if a little dated. Great water pressure. The breakfast was lovely with pastry, salads and meat and cheese. The front desk staff was very accommodating. Bed was on the hard side. Great working AC. Cute little patio. I will say there is a church across the street that has a VERY loud bell that went off around 7:30 am. But they do provide ear plugs.

I was concerned about staying in Naples because 20 years ago I visited and didn't feel safe. But I can heartily recommend Il Convento. ||The location is parallel to Via Toledo, which is a busy shopping street, with a metro station just a few minutes from the hotel. It is safe (if you can avoid the psycho scooter drivers that are everywhere in Naples) and convenient for most things in the historic centre.||The room was well equipped. Although it looked dated, everything was clean and in a good condition. Beyond that, the hotel provided extras that the more expensive hotel I stayed in afterwards didn't for example: slippers, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a razor, a comb and free bottled water. The shower was a powerful waterfall shower and it was heavenly. One of the best showers I've ever expereinced.||The only thing that wasn't perfect was the tv, where the majority of channels didn't work. This may have been fixable, I didn't ask so I don't know.||The front desk staff were very helpful and gave good advice for places to eat.||Staying there in November, the price was excellent value for money, and I would have no qualms about staying there again if I returned to Naples.

What a great oasis in the middle of the Spanish Quarter! We arrived in the evening after a very chaotic taxi ride (per usual in Italy!) and entered a calm, quiet lobby. Everyone we encountered at the front desk was friendly and professional. The breakfast was great - lots of options - eggs, deli meat and cheeses, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereals, bread - everything you could want. And caffe, of course! Our room was on the top floor and had a little outside sitting area - perfect for unwinding in the evening or enjoying coffee in the morning to prepare for the day. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were also quite nice! If you want to stay in the Spanish Quarter, I highly recommend Hotel Il Convento!

Excellent hotel! The location is very central, yet surprisingly quiet. In the morning there was a church bell nearby, but overall the hotel feels small and very peaceful. We received wonderful service – the staff was friendly and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and beautiful. Breakfast was good – not a huge variety, but still plenty of options so everyone can find something they like. On top of that, the option of free hot drinks throughout the day was a very nice touch.

Location is perfect, it’s in the Spanish Quarter, everything is close (not everything, but the main things you need, like stores, markets, shopping places, historical landmarks a if you don’t have a lot of time). Also, connections to other parts via Metro are great! My room was a bit small, but I’m a tiny person, so it didn’t bother me that much - I just had a large suitcase. I even had a balcony, which is also tiny, but I’m a smoker, and I loved it (btw, bear in mind that everything is small in the Spanish Quarter, it takes getting used to it). The room was clean with all the amenities you could need (kettle, hairdryer, mini fridge, hair straightener - thank God, ‘because Napoli is humid as hell and my hair was all over the place, body and hair wash, razor, toothbrush, slippers…). Breakfast was phenomenal - scramled eggs, hot dogs, cheese (all sorts), salads, bread, milk, fruit, jam, ham, sausage…), it was fresh and tasty! It has an elevator (a small one, but it’s enough), and two gems of this hotel are Mr. Nello and Mr. Luca! They helped me with everything, gave me directions for sightseeing, were always at my disposal, they were kind, smiley and professional! I will recommend Il convento to everyone staying in Napoli! Keep up the good work, guys!

For a 3 star, budget hotel in the middle of the Spanish district, this hotel meets the basics. Friendly front and breakfast staff. Normal amenities. Overall clean. ||I know the rooms are supposed to be historic but at this point they are just old and dingy. They are incredibly small, and the proximity to the street keeps it very noisy (plus all the inconsiderate guests of the hotel who yell at each other at all times of the day). The WiFi was spotty at best. ||Not bad, but there are better.

Great hotel setting a high standard. Super helpful staff, decent sized room, comfortable beds, good bathroom. Loved the terrace. This would be our go to hotel if we are lucky enough to return to Napoli

Google
Hotel is perfectly located in the Spanish quarter, walking distance to many things and busy outside so safe to walk at night, especially as a solo female traveller. Great location as there is a nearby pick up where most tour operators stop of you want to do a day trip somewhere and it is a few minutes from the hop on hop off bus and a metro station. Room was clean and comfortable, has a safe, wi fi was good and balcony and mini bar were an added bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast is delicious with good variety. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
An unexpected oasis in the old part of town (especially if you book a room with a patio). Super nice and helpful staff, free breakfast delivered to your room or in the shared breakfast area (lots of options), and delicious espresso. They have umbrellas to lend out in case of rain, will help with luggage, tour reservations, etc (all with a genuine smile), as well as serve drinks in the bar (a bottle of white wine is 8 euro). The streets outside are tiny. Like the size of a double sidewalk that accommodated cars, bikes, vespas, pedestrians and overflow products from shops. Easy to walk places like to the metro, etc. Our car transportation to the next town had a bit of trouble finding us, but a call to the front desk helped him right away (same for the taxi on the way in, he needed to see the address twice and asked someone on the road if he was close, so I recommend having the address on a map ready for your driver). The room had a small mini fridge (not much room for extras unless you empty out the sodas etc), a huge counter in the bathroom, large bathtub and wonderful shower head. The reading lights above the bed were great for a late night reading session. WiFi was decent as well (fast enough for streaming Netflix etc). Fantastic pizza around corner!

Yelp
When you choose a hotel in the Spanish quarter you should know the rooms will be small and the neighborhood will be noisy but for me being there is worth it. I'll Convento was a very pleasant surprise. Yes, the room was small but the air conditioning worked superbly and closing the windows eliminated the street noise. Management and staff were marvelous and the breakfast offerings were quite good. We go to Naples often and will definitely stay here again. One warning: watch carefully when crossing the very narrow streets. We were very narrowly missed by a ten year old riding out of control on his four wheel vehicle and a vespa nearly hit our dog as he preceded us crossing the street.

Yelp
Great breakfast and cappuccino. Rooms were clean and nice. And comes with a free wake up call every morning weather you like it or not.

Yelp
This location is literally steps away from the city center and the main street, Via Toledo, where all the shops, great restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, bakeries, and more are found. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and super helpful. They spoke english fluently and they addressed all our needs in providing suggestions and advice on all things. This made a world of difference for our stay. The spacious room was extremely clean with a big bed with plenty of pillows and clean sheets. There was a well stocked fridge, a safety lock box, and a balcony, which were great features I used a lot. The bathroom was also very modernized and spacious bathroom has a bidet and a good sized shower. I felt totally comfortable in the room. The breakfast had many options to choose from with coffee to order. My only suggestion is to go early as they do not stock it up toward the end. You just can't beat the value of this hotel for all it has to offer. I would totally stay here again next time I am in Naples.

Yelp
Small, very friendly staffed hotel, in a convenient position for getting around Naples. Plenty of eateries, fruit and take-aways handy. Clean rooms with good facilities, safe, tea/coffee, fridge/bar, shoe cleaner, bottle opener, plus a comfy bed and good working shower. I had a balcony room overlooking the street, once the large doors were closed it was very quiet. (Earplugs also provided) Directions to hotel for arriving from the airport, train station, ferry, using taxi. shuttle, metro, private car or on foot are sent a few days prior and were appreciated. ( car requires garaging not too far away) A hot/cold breakfast is included with a good selection of pastries as well as cereals, yoghurt, fruit and various hot dishes. The staff are knowledgeable on all aspects of Naples and I enjoyed my full days there, being October, I was able to use one of the umbrellas provided at the door! To be recommended to all Lesley G

Yelp
Great hotel. Clean. Good size room and bathroom. Free internet. Some mentioned that it was noisy with the street traffic. Once the windows were closed, I thought it was fine. Or I may have been so exhausted from traveling that I just didn't notice. But they do provide ear plugs in the room. I only stayed one night before heading to the Amalfi Coast, but I'd definitely stay again.
