What a great oasis in the middle of the Spanish Quarter! We arrived in the evening after a very chaotic taxi ride (per usual in Italy!) and entered a calm, quiet lobby. Everyone we encountered at the front desk was friendly and professional. The breakfast was great - lots of options - eggs, deli meat and cheeses, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereals, bread - everything you could want. And caffe, of course! Our room was on the top floor and had a little outside sitting area - perfect for unwinding in the evening or enjoying coffee in the morning to prepare for the day. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were also quite nice! If you want to stay in the Spanish Quarter, I highly recommend Hotel Il Convento!

Excellent hotel! The location is very central, yet surprisingly quiet. In the morning there was a church bell nearby, but overall the hotel feels small and very peaceful. We received wonderful service – the staff was friendly and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and beautiful. Breakfast was good – not a huge variety, but still plenty of options so everyone can find something they like. On top of that, the option of free hot drinks throughout the day was a very nice touch.

Hotel is perfectly located in the Spanish quarter, walking distance to many things and busy outside so safe to walk at night, especially as a solo female traveller. Great location as there is a nearby pick up where most tour operators stop of you want to do a day trip somewhere and it is a few minutes from the hop on hop off bus and a metro station. Room was clean and comfortable, has a safe, wi fi was good and balcony and mini bar were an added bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast is delicious with good variety. Definitely recommend.

A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Naples – Safe, Stylish & Full of Soul 🌆✨||I stayed here for just one night before heading to the airport, and I can confidently say—it exceeded expectations in every way.||Located in the vibrant Spanish Quarters, this hotel is a hidden gem. The area is artistic, lively, and full of local color, perfect for solo travelers or anyone in their 20s to 50s who wants to be in the heart of Naples’ real cultural energy. Despite the buzz outside, I felt completely safe and cared for the entire time.||The hospitality was truly outstanding. From help with my luggage to thoughtful touches in the room, the staff made everything seamless. While my single room was on the smaller side (as expected for solo travel), it was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and had every amenity I needed—including a charming little veranda.||Breakfast was a dream: served daily from 8 to 10 AM with fresh fruit, homemade croissants and cornettas, eggs, cereals, a wide range of dairy and non-dairy milks, yogurts, and truly incredible coffee. Everything is made with care—and it shows.||The hotel has an elevator (a big plus with bags), and it’s incredibly central: close to the ferry if you're coming from Amalfi, walking distance to nearly everything, and an easy trip to the airport.||If you want comfort, hospitality, and authentic Napoli charm at a great value, this is your spot. I only wish I had more time here—but I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend! 👏

The place was located in a great central area, great restaurants around, the rooms have a lot of character, we had a larger room with a loft area for the kids. My only complaint is that the air conditioning did not seem powerful enough to cool all the large room area, so it was a little warm for my liking. The front desk was very attentive and held our luggage for free so we could explore the city further the day we were leaving. The breakfast was also nice, with a variety of cheeses and pastries, eggs and sausages. Overall a great experience, not a solid 5 but rounding it up.

A lovely small hotel in a very busy, crowded Spanish Quarter. An ideal location just off Via Toledo. We walked from the Sardinia ferry dock to the hotel in about fifteen minutes. As soon as you go through the door you enter an oasis of quiet and calm! We stayed for five nights in a top floor room with a private roof garden. This has soft seats, an umbrella, small table and chair, with a large variable sun blind over the room door. A nice place to relax before going out in the evening. The room is large with a comfortable bed and a good efficient bathroom. There is lift access from the ground floor. Breakfast is varied and tasty with good coffee. All staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is good value for money and we recommend it for a visit to Naples.

We all loved our stay here- wonderful welcome, lots of help with everything, rooms that have everything you need but are nicely old-school and plain, with balconies and terraces, almost like a pensione..all in a wonderful area of Naples.Lots of great restaurants/bars/churches nearby and you're bang in the heart of a proper (but safe) Neapolitan community. Hard recommend and I'm FUSSY. Also breakfast was fabulous.

Grazie for a wonderful stay! The rooms were very nicely equipped, spacious, clean, and homey. Also a nice breakfast to start the day along with snacks and beverages with available all day. They even had gluten free options and cookies (which most don’t offer) :). The front desk staff were all super friendly, welcoming, and helpful! We had a wonderful stay in the heart of Napoli and can’t wait to come back again soon! Arrivederci!

Yelp
An unexpected oasis in the old part of town (especially if you book a room with a patio). Super nice and helpful staff, free breakfast delivered to your room or in the shared breakfast area (lots of options), and delicious espresso. They have umbrellas to lend out in case of rain, will help with luggage, tour reservations, etc (all with a genuine smile), as well as serve drinks in the bar (a bottle of white wine is 8 euro). The streets outside are tiny. Like the size of a double sidewalk that accommodated cars, bikes, vespas, pedestrians and overflow products from shops. Easy to walk places like to the metro, etc. Our car transportation to the next town had a bit of trouble finding us, but a call to the front desk helped him right away (same for the taxi on the way in, he needed to see the address twice and asked someone on the road if he was close, so I recommend having the address on a map ready for your driver). The room had a small mini fridge (not much room for extras unless you empty out the sodas etc), a huge counter in the bathroom, large bathtub and wonderful shower head. The reading lights above the bed were great for a late night reading session. WiFi was decent as well (fast enough for streaming Netflix etc). Fantastic pizza around corner!

Yelp
When you choose a hotel in the Spanish quarter you should know the rooms will be small and the neighborhood will be noisy but for me being there is worth it. I'll Convento was a very pleasant surprise. Yes, the room was small but the air conditioning worked superbly and closing the windows eliminated the street noise. Management and staff were marvelous and the breakfast offerings were quite good. We go to Naples often and will definitely stay here again. One warning: watch carefully when crossing the very narrow streets. We were very narrowly missed by a ten year old riding out of control on his four wheel vehicle and a vespa nearly hit our dog as he preceded us crossing the street.

Yelp
Great breakfast and cappuccino. Rooms were clean and nice. And comes with a free wake up call every morning weather you like it or not.

Yelp
This location is literally steps away from the city center and the main street, Via Toledo, where all the shops, great restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, bakeries, and more are found. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and super helpful. They spoke english fluently and they addressed all our needs in providing suggestions and advice on all things. This made a world of difference for our stay. The spacious room was extremely clean with a big bed with plenty of pillows and clean sheets. There was a well stocked fridge, a safety lock box, and a balcony, which were great features I used a lot. The bathroom was also very modernized and spacious bathroom has a bidet and a good sized shower. I felt totally comfortable in the room. The breakfast had many options to choose from with coffee to order. My only suggestion is to go early as they do not stock it up toward the end. You just can't beat the value of this hotel for all it has to offer. I would totally stay here again next time I am in Naples.

Yelp
Small, very friendly staffed hotel, in a convenient position for getting around Naples. Plenty of eateries, fruit and take-aways handy. Clean rooms with good facilities, safe, tea/coffee, fridge/bar, shoe cleaner, bottle opener, plus a comfy bed and good working shower. I had a balcony room overlooking the street, once the large doors were closed it was very quiet. (Earplugs also provided) Directions to hotel for arriving from the airport, train station, ferry, using taxi. shuttle, metro, private car or on foot are sent a few days prior and were appreciated. ( car requires garaging not too far away) A hot/cold breakfast is included with a good selection of pastries as well as cereals, yoghurt, fruit and various hot dishes. The staff are knowledgeable on all aspects of Naples and I enjoyed my full days there, being October, I was able to use one of the umbrellas provided at the door! To be recommended to all Lesley G

Yelp
Great hotel. Clean. Good size room and bathroom. Free internet. Some mentioned that it was noisy with the street traffic. Once the windows were closed, I thought it was fine. Or I may have been so exhausted from traveling that I just didn't notice. But they do provide ear plugs in the room. I only stayed one night before heading to the Amalfi Coast, but I'd definitely stay again.
