The hotel left a good impression. |First of all, its excellent location stands out — all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants are within walking distance, which makes staying in the city especially convenient. |Staff was polite, helpful, and always ready to give advice or assistance, creating an atmosphere of warmth and genuine hospitality. |The interior also deserves mention: modern, stylish, and with touches of minimalism, it feels fresh and distinctive, making the hotel stand out from others. |The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. |Overall, this is a hotel where you feel at ease, and one that you would be glad to return to. I can confidently recommend it to other travelers, however note that it’s a 4* hotel though-I’ve seen it rated a 5*. For some it might matter

I like good design so I just had to stay at Il Palazzo at the end of my two week trip to Kyushu. It’s stunning. The attention to detail throughout was remarkable. My room was spacious and comfortable, with pretty much everything I might need. The staff were attentive and polite.||Just one complaint - buffet lunch and dinner, which was included in the rate. It was essentially the same food, and none of it was Japanese. The desserts were pretty good, but otherwise it was a fairly limited, snacky international buffet. It could be so much better. My advice would be to have lunch at the hotel when you check in, but go out for dinner. No surprise it was busy at lunchtime and quiet in the evening. Breakfast was a different story, with a good selection of what you might expect.

This was hands down the most interesting hotel experience I've ever had. The setting and interior design are delightfully unusual—like stepping into a stylish little adventure. The room itself exceeded expectations: clean, modern, and super comfy. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, adding to the warm vibe. The all-you-can-eat concept? So fun—and it works! Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea were all excellent. This hidden gem in Fukuoka is perfect for travelers who crave something a little different. Highly recommended if you're ready to add a spark of adventure to your stay.

We spent one night here for the honeymoon, and the experiences were beyond descriptions. The interior design was truly one-of-a-kind, the all-day-long buffet was palatable, and the service was second to none. I informed one of the staff of the honeymoon, and they prepared a surprise for us during dinner. Thank you! I sincerely recommend the hotel to anyone traveling with his/her significant other.

I think this was my least favourite hotel I stayed in Japan after travelling there for over 10 times, frying from different countries, pre and post COVID. There was a mid aged female staff with glasses who refused to lend me an umbrella when I was going for a walk with my families including a baby. She rejected a lady guest who was also asking for an umbrella before us. She left in the rain angrily. We asked her why she couldn't just lend us the umbrella as she was carrying one or two, she just rejected. Amazing. The shower pressure is LOW. When asked why your shower pressure is so much lower than all the other Japanese hotels, front desk staff smiled awkwardly and said yeah our shower pressure is just low. The shower facilities are not from top notch Japanese brand such as TOTO. Instead, they used Grohe...Maybe they think this is some sort of posh choice, oh well it's not if you ever lived in western countries. Room size is alright, lovely new toilet but the cleaning service is way below average other Japanese hotels. Not a single day then room was cleaned to a traditional Japanese standard. Forgotten corners, dirty floor, carelessness everywhere. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant...very salty and nothing impressive, except for some of the dessert. But you can't eat dessert to fill your stomach right? Service is also horrible. Foreign workers are not trained to be professional and the only Japanese waiter we met daily was 9/10 days grumpy. The restaurant has no proper ventilation locating at lower ground floor. There is a sewage toilet smell daily near check in counter so you walk pass the smell before having meals daily. The baby kit was lovely though nonetheless. Location is convenient although very noisy. Overall, we won't be staying in this type of hotels when traveling to Japan again. Even state owned chains will give you a much better shower experience, plus the hard working staff who know about room service.

Hotel Il Palazzo is a masterpiece of design — originally created by renowned architect Aldo Rossi, it stands out with its bold geometry and timeless modern style. The interiors are elegant yet comfortable, with a unique atmosphere you won’t find in other hotels. I was upgraded to a very spacious room with a private terrace, and could even check in early around noon, which made the stay extra convenient. The food was excellent, and the desserts in particular were memorable.

Stayed here for one night in April. Location is in the city centre so very convenient and nearby tourist spots like Hakata. Staff were very friendly. Our room was ready for us even though we arrived a few hours before the check-in time. The room was good, with good facilities. There were delicious chocolates given as a welcome gift. The breakfast and all day buffet had a great variety of food and tasted amazing. Highly recommend!
