This is a very nice, smaller hotel that has a bed and breakfast feel to it. Our hostess Katherine was phenomenal. She was very friendly, helpful, and provided good advice about local restaurants and the general neighborhood. The room size was just right for two people and there was ample space in the bathroom. The breakfast area has a garden view. There is also a separate coffee/tea area with snacks. We had an unfortunate event of power loss at 3a which lasted until about 7a. This was no fault of the hotel but breakfast was a little delayed. Juanita did a wonderful job of preparing warm and cold offerings. There is dedicated hotel parking at no charge, but it does require your full attention and a little maneuvering. While the hotel is very nice and well maintained, at first appearance the immediate surroundings appear a bit run down at in need of some TLC. We had absolutely no issues walking around the neighborhood which included early morning and late evening. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the harbor and to downtown.

We loved this hotel. The hotel has a very calm peaceful vibe with helpful, kind warm staff. The location is a nice 10 minute walk to downtown. There is coffee / tea / fruit in the lobby area. The top floor of the hotel has a nice glass room where we watched the sunrise this morning while enjoying coffee. We loved the breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice. A nice serving of fresh fruit with yogurt, granola and stewed raspberries followed by warm fresh bread and chapattis with avocado and fresh cheese. It was delicious. They recommended a restaurant that we enjoyed and made us the reservation. We would highly recommend staying here.

This is one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed at! The staff is beyond exceptional - so friendly and accommodating! The service is outstanding - they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the common areas are so charming. We had a very early day trip planned and they packed us a lovely snack to take with us on our journey (and had it ready for us by 6am!). They also offer laundry services, restaurant recommendations (and even called and made reservations for us), and provided a map and directions to local attractions. I can't recommend the Ilaia Hotel highly enough! An absolute gem.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel at the start of my Patagonian Adventure. The staff was warm and welcoming, greeting me by name and giving me all the info I needed to settle in. The room was cozy and bright, and the common areas in the hotel made for a nice addition. The hotel is well located and convenient to walk to dinner, the water, the bus etc.

This hotel is such a gem. We only stayed one night en route to Puerto Natales but could have stayed longer. It’s so relaxing! The rooftop has stunning views over the town. The breakfast was served to us and just out of this world - all home made! The rooms are so comfortable and clean and it’s an easy walk to the bus terminals and all of the sights in the town.

Absolutely wonderful hotel with amazing staff and service. They made us snack bags to take for our boat trip too. The sun room on the roof was a perfect place to sip our free wine!

Ilaia Hotel was the biggest surprise of my entire trip to Chile—what a delightful experience! The moment we stepped into the building, it felt like coming home. We were warmly greeted by a lovely receptionist, who then escorted us upstairs to our room, and I instantly fell in love. The room, while quite simple, exuded such a positive vibe! With two windows overlooking lush greenery, it was a peaceful retreat.||Breakfast was a special occasion, made even more enjoyable by the warmth and joy radiated by Juanita, our server. The food, though uncomplicated, was incredibly fresh and delicious! While it may not have been the cheapest option, it was certainly the best and most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed in. I wholeheartedly recommend Ilaia Hotel!

Yelp
Great spot. Super clean and nice. The host is extremely welcoming. I left my cell in the cab and they called the cab. Short story short I got my phone back shortly.

Yelp
Surrounded by good vibes, good energy, and with the warmest of attention you could get in the entire Patagonia! The hotel is superb: clean, cozy, and within easy walking access to the city. The rooftop and the delicious breakfast are both additional signatures that will always invite us back to Ilaia! Such a nice place, owned and staffed by beautiful human beings!

Yelp
This hotel was a bit on the quirky side, but served our needs just fine. We stayed a total of three nights (before and after a cruise). Given that scenario, we were extremely grateful that Hotel Ilaia was amenable to holding some extra luggage in between our visits. They had a secure room to hold the luggage for the ten days between our visits. I initially booked the hotel through their website and had prompt email communication with them. The hotel is located outside the main tourist area of town. You can definitely walk in/out of town (you're still in town just more of a residential area), however we did find more comfortable taking a cab at night. There is a bar at the bottom of the hill as you walk towards town, which on several occasions had inebriated patrons hanging out (or in some cases sleeping on the ground) outside. During daylight hours it was pretty easy to avoid, but given how inexpensive cabs are, just made more sense to avoid altogether. While it's not the hotel's fault, I think it is important to let folks know. The beds were extremely comfortable, though we would have preferred a little more space for luggage. Of course this is coming from someone who had two suitcases (part of a month long trip - normally I pack on the light side). The rooms were impeccably clean. Internet was available in the rooms, though one evening it was definitely acting up and not working. Breakfast each morning was quite the experience, in a good way! Coffee, tea, and juice are offered. The staff will serve you breakfast at one of the set tables in the common area adjacent to the lobby. Additionally, fresh fruit (apples and bananas) were offered to mix with homemade granola, jam, and yogurt. A great start to the morning. That wasn't it though, some tortillas were brought out along with mashed avocado and queso. Breakfast was thoughtfully put together and served, they definitely don't want you to rush it, so plan accordingly when letting them know what time you plan on having breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They assisted us in making restaurant reservations, suggestions for restaurants if we were unsure, and arranging taxis. If the location were a little closer to town and slightly bigger rooms, I'd be five stars all the way.

Yelp
The team at Ilaia was so extraordinarily nice that I felt like I had to leave a review. I booked there because I liked the peaceful yoga vibes and the design of the place. But when I showed up the two women I encountered were above and beyond. I had an early flight in the morning and they he did a wake up call for me at 4:30 AM and had breakfast ready to go for me, the woman there personally scooping fruit into my dish like a mother making sure I was getting nutrition for my journey. I left with a great feeling and wishing I could have spent more time here. Highly recommend. It was also a very good deal!
