Honestly, this hotel is definitely not something to write home about. It gets the job done. The shower/bathroom could've used a better scrub down (was tired, and poorly spackled in a few problem areas, some grime in the shower tiles), the "courtyard view" was just of another building and some turf-ish garden (?) seemingly meant solely for dogs peeing. The staff was nice, though the computer system was down when we arrived, so things were slower than normal. The staffer asked us if we wanted to upgrade for an added 20 euro/night for a "much nicer" room, but at that point, I was thinking, if you have it available, why wouldn't you just upgrade us anyway. As it stands, the room we paid for wasn't cheap. It's just...whatever, ok enough is how I'd describe it. Area-wise, it's relatively close to the Sagrada Familia, but not close to literally anything else, kind of a desolate nothing couple of blocks. Not sure how this hotel is considered 4 stars -- it's truly and well not. Are there bugs? No. Is there mold? No. Does that make it a high quality 4-star hotel? I sure hope we'd have higher standards than that. People seem to be satisfied with giving fantastic reviews for the bare minimum, which is: clean room, not moldy, some things like soap and shaving cream, a non-jerk checking you in. Oddly, the "makeup remover kit" had no remover, just two q-tips and two cotton pads. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this place unless someone specifically wanted a non-cheap nothing hotel that relatively close to one main attraction.
